I had the vinyl version of this album. It is by far the best Rolling Stones collection on the market. This CD release is no disappointment. The sound quality is superb. I can add little to other reviews, with one exception. This was the only place that I knew the stereo version of "Paint it Black" to be. I can confirm that this reissue still has the "Paint it Black" track in stereo, which was a major reason for me buying this collection for another time.

I agree with a previous reviewer who says that this is a much better collection than "Hot Rocks." This is a much better collection and better sound quality.

I discovered Joni about a year ago, hearing the song Case of You in the film Practical Magic and looking it up online. I bought the album Blue and completely fell in love with its mellowness and her wonderful voice.

Having listened to Blue about 7 million times i decided to seek out more of Joni. I read the reviews on a few of her albums on Amazon and settled on Court and Spark.

I expected it to be pretty similar as it was released only a few years after Blue, and was surprised to find it different. It's not as mellow as Blue, it's more jazzy and funky, more instruments are going on, backing singers- everything. But it doesn't take away the feeling she puts into the music, and of course her wonderful voice is still there ... Read More:

This DVD includes twenty two of Queens's music videos and although there are some great songs included, most of the videos themselves are basically the band playing to the camera. The majority of the music on this DVD is from Queen's first Greatest Hits album with the addition of other songs from various other albums. As well as the music videos are also three live performances for the songs `Now I'm Here', `Love of my Life' and .We Will Rock You'. In addition to this the DVD also includes a few short extras about the making of `Bohemian Rhapsody' all of which were interesting to watch and quite informative. Aladdin Sane: Remastered

This is my least favourite 70's Bowie album. I'm not saying it's bad exactly, I just find it a lot weaker than his other offerings from the 70's. Coming straight after his masterpiece, Ziggy Stardust, it does seem inferior and the subsequent Diamond Dogs is one of my favourites. Opening song Watch That Man is very unremarkable, and the title track contains a very self-indulgent piano solo that I just find irritating. The final song, Lady Grinning Soul just doesn't do it for me, and the other tracks are merely 'ok'. It's not a bad Bowie album by any means, but I just find it very overrated, a much poorer version of Ziggy Stardust.

1980's 'The River' can probably be regarded as Bruce Springsteen's first move toward a more commercial sound. After years of sober epics punctuated by the occasional radio-friendly song, he turned out a stack of uptempo three-minute songs. Eight of the first nine tracks on this album are in that style. Far from being routine love songs, however, they feature Springsteen's vivid turn of phrase and odd storylines. On 'Sherry Darling', for instance, the subject threatens to throw his girlfriend's mother out of his car. The impassioned 'Jackson Cage' (well, his songs usually are impassioned) is a highlight, while 'Hungry Heart' is an obvious single, if a relatively unsuccessful one. Fans might balk at the gooey 'I Wanna Marry You', but the plaintive title track is a triumph.

The Very Best of Jethro Tull

You rarely, if ever, find an album that pleases everybody, and perhaps because of this you may find reviews of this collection elsewhere saying "this is a weak song" "that's not up to standard" and so on. I prefer to take a slightly different view.
What you actually have here, (and I think Ian Anderson said as much in the sleeve notes), a kind of Jethro Tull "try before you buy" sales brochure introducing you to their back catalogue. The CD spans JT's illustrious career, starting with their single "Living in the Past" and progressing in a fairly non-chronological order through some classic Tull and some less obvious choices.
I think this gives Tull newcomers a chance to dip a toe tentatively into this unique band and get a feel for their various musical directions, prior to taking the plunge ... Read More:

One time Bluesbreaker and Canned Heat man, Walter Trout has been firing out solo albums for a long time now, but they've always felt a bit incomplete to me. So, it came as a particular delight to sit down with the new one, and find myself hitting the repeat button when it came to an end. For this might just be the best album of his career.

From the opening, autobiographical, 'Welcome To The Human Race' onwards, it's a constantly unfolding pleasure. It's also the album that sees him straying further away from his Blues rock roots, something that may find a few old time fans drifting away. Even I had a bit of trouble with 'The Next Big Thing', a 1968 Beatles style radio rocker.
