When I bought this album about 4 months ago it was about £4 dearer so I bought it used instead. I thought it was a rip off for that much money and I'm glad I bought it used. The main reason for my interest in the Who is that their songs are on the titles of my favourite show, the CSI series. There are many songs on this album that I had heard before buying this and many I haven't but it was well worth purchasing. My favourite songs before buying this was Baba O Riley and We won't get fooled again and I think they still are now. Both songs are on CSI's New York and Miami. Dire Straits' third album came at their version of the proverbial crossroads. Apart from losing a member, they decided not to release volume 3 of the same and instead created a few epics. Those first two albums are marvellous, but here they reached out for the dramatic, typified by the 'Carousel' intro and the Shakespearean theme of the second track. 'Tunnel Of Love' sees the band moving away from the pub band route and into a wider soundscape, Mark Knopfler giving full rein to vivid lyrical fairground imagery. Great DVD except for the missing Innuendo videos including the title track, Headlong etc. I decided to get this DVD after having Greatest Flix I & II on Video CD since 1994 only to find the aforementioned videos replaced with others. I'm sure there was room to put them on this otherwise great DVD, let's hope that there will be a Greatest Video Hits 3 including them along with the videos from Made In Heaven.

Anthology: Through The Years

The fact that this is the first review I have been moved to right since I was in school (I'm now 21) demonstrates just how highly I rate this. I'd seriously never really heard of Tom Petty until about 2 months ago, out of curisoity I borrowed it off a friends Dad and was blown away at how awesome this stuff is. Easily the best double album I own as there is literally not a bad track, the only time I reach for the skip button is when I don't have time to listen to the whole thing and find myself being drawn to some tracks that I just have to listen to!!

Favourite tracks: 1,4,6,9,10,17,21,26,30,31,33 But 'Two Gunslingers' would have to be my favourite track, if I had to pick one.

I bought this album when it came out, on vinyl. Neil Young had been only partly known to me - i tended to think "acoustic" and "folky", which were not the kind of words i was into at that age. John Peel said that "nothing before had prepared him for the magnificence of Zuma" or words to that effect. As a keen JP listener and admirer, i thought I'd give it a go. Fabulous! It was as rock-y and discordant in places as you could wish. The guitaring was a revelation. Great songs, love-it-or-hate-it voice/singing - which i did love. The acoustic numbers and gentler tracks were great songs too, and perfect to sing when you were having a drink with your mates. This is probably Al's most commecial release in many years. Hardcore fans have complained in some of the other reviews here that this somehow makes for an inferior product. It most certainly does not!. Many of the songs - particularly 'Eisenhower' and 'Hanno' will stick in your head and you will find yourself humming them as you go about your business!
When you listen to what masquarades as music (even on Radio 2 ) it always makes me wonder why Al was not more commercially successful. If his record company made a serious effort to 'plug' this album I truly believe that 'Eisenhower' could be a successful single.

Grapefruit Moon: The Songs Of Tom Waits

In the states at the moment so have managed to pick this up early. Tom Waits songs really suit Southsides delivery and La Bamba's arrangements do not dissapoint. Tom Waits duets on wlak away and this is a standout.

Highly recommend to Southside and Tom Waits fans.

Just bought this today and it thoroughly deserves to be thought of as the bes tlive album ever from jailbreak to the rocker lynotts charisma shows through especially just before the rocker. all in all for 3 quid even if your not the biggest fan its still worth it. its one fo the best cds i have and will probably remain so.
