In the beginning the way into Dylan was via Peter Paul & Mary, the Turtles, the Byrds and Johnny Cash.
And commercially electric Dylan was just right.
This CD is just a sampler and introduction to the Art of Dylan. If you want more you get the original albums on CD.All but one have been on catalog since CDs began.
My favorite Dylan song is Can you please crawl out your window.
Thus this double CD would only be of interest if there was a booklet with it and its by no means the only one of its kind as the most recent-titled DYLAN and in 3 different editions -comes with a picture book.
Today's Dylan collector needs plenty of money and plenty of room

I think that ZZ Top are a very good band and they remain one of my favorite bands of all-time. this is one great collection and they made great blues music in the 1970s and the 1980s. here are my comments about most of the songs. GIMME ALL YOUR LOVING this is a really great song and is my 2nd favorite song on the entire cd. SHARP DRESSED MAN this is pretty great too, but probably my 5th favorite. ROUGH BOY is a ballad that is too slow and too sad for me. TUSH is an excellent blues rocker remains one of my 5 favorites on this album. MY HEAD'S IN MISSISSPII is a blues rocker one of my favorites, PEARL NECKLACE not my fave, IM BAD IM NATHIONWIDE this is pretty good although remains as a 10th favorite or something. I AINT CRAZY ABOUT VIVA LAS VEGAS, DOUBLEBACK is a pretty ... Read More:

Having previously mislaid my copies of Chronicles 1 & 2, spotted this today and thought it would be an ideal replacement.
On the plus side, the tracks have been remastered since the above compilations were released and they have never sounded better,
taking 18 of the 20 tracks from Volume 1 (ignoring "Commotion" and "Someday Never Knows"), and 6 of the best from Volume 2.
Great to have this huge 24 track selection on one disc, but in order to squeeze them all on, the 11 minute guitar workout on "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"
has been sacrificed, and replaced instead with a 4 minute edit. (Still have the original on mp3 anyway!)
I may have a dodgy pressing but having already exchanged it twice, beware there is a huge ... Read More:

What more could you want. I read once that this was the end of all Floyd as we know it. How wrong can you get! As I'm writing this I'm listening to it, and believe me when I tell you this album does not disappoint. Ok, it might not be as good as Dark Side, Wish You Were Here or The Wall, but its in no way a bad record; and its on record where you really get the beauty of it. A cd is still good, but you don't have the raw-ness of the original format they released it to. Anyway the music: admittedly, looking at the lengths, dogs might be a little too long, and have an unnecessarily long bridge, but that's what Floyd are all about. Dogs just goes to show what a writing partnership of Gilmour/Waters can produce. And this being the only song on the album not written entirely by Waters, it also ... Read More:

Heathen Chemistry is probably Oasis' worst album. But that doesn't mean it's bad.
Many tracks are very average by Oasis standard, such as All In The Mind, Force of Nature, Better Man and Hung In A Bad Place. However, saying that, personally it contains some of Oasis best tracks.
The Hindu Times is a fantastic rocker that would perfectly fit on to Definitely Maybe. Great guitar rifts and a great chorus, it is real ballsy stuff. Other highlights include Liam Gallagher's Songbird, which surprised many by being an incredibly sweet soft nice little tune - something many would not associate with rock's and hardest frontman. He also contributes with the heavily influenced Lennon song Born on A Differen Cloud - a song that shows a far cry from the average Little James he wrote ... Read More:

So here it is - the best selling songs from the best selling band ever. The idea behind this compilation is that all the songs were Number One singles either in the UK or US. Sounds fairly simple, but in fact browsing the negative reviews on here shows many people complaining about this CD. Main criticisms are either that a Beatles greatest hits isn't necessary because people ought to buy the individual albums, or moans about certain tracks being omitted (Strawberry Fields Forever has been mentioned a lot - yes it might very well be the Beatles' best single but it didn't reach No. 1).
While it is true that the Beatles are a band best bought album-by-album, this is a great purchase for newbies or people with a casual interest in this legendary band. I own most of their albums, yet still ... Read More:

with such a mass of material to choose from,it is difficult for any record label to put together a 'good' collection that shows the entire range of Elvis' great songs but this goes a long way toward it. Well worth the place on the shelf.
