Possibly the best album of all time. Kermit has an especially fantastic voice, a cross between an early Cat Stevens and David Gray in his latest album, Life in Slow Motion. However, I think his rendition of One More Night till Christmas perhaps eclipses both these two great artists. I had heard rumours of a contract with Sony BMG and a solo career, but have no idea why it hasn't materialised. The song Love Is Gone is also an absolute classic, and brings tears to my eyes, especially the second version Track 18, which is perhaps the stand-out song of the entire album (which is saying a lot). I Love Christmas Music & have been collecting various albums on this theme for years & this album has got to be one of the most sentimental & warming albums ever produced on this theme. The album I had was on Tape & has long since worn out but I've since been trying to replace it. If you get the chance to get hold of this album I strongly recommend that you do so.

However, the tracks I'll Walk with God and Guardian Angels, whilst on a Christmas album will be played at anytime during the year! The song I'll walk with God was written for the film The Student Prince and is closely associated with Mario Lanza. As is Guardian Angels which is really an evening prayer. It's true that the narration style of Prunella Scales is cool and restrained, but that is entirely in keeping with the tone of her script. The music sparkles, and The Nutcracker is full of memorable tunes that children warm to. Can it hold up against all the competition for kids' attention at Christmas? I think it probably can.

There isn't a bad track on the album.
The songs range from funky and hip to quiet and melodic.
My two personal favourites include 'Minnie and Santa', a song about an old ladies crush on Santa and her wish come true. My second favourite is 'Home on Christmas day', its always the song that touches my heart when I'm far from home at Christmas.
Its not dry and boring like some of the older christmas songs are because of their overuse and commercial abuse. You put this album on and have a little taste of everything that christmas is about, togetherness, melancholy, warmth and hope.
A great singer, a fantastic album. I would recommend to music lovers of all tastes.

i love this ep from enya. she can make christmas music sound great. most christmas music is naff at best but enya has worked magic with adeste fideles and we wish you a merry christmas. my personal favourites out of the 4 are:- magic of the night and we wish you a merry christmas. i wish i could give this cd 10 stars and not 5.
