I'd recomend highly of not buying this CD, unless you intend to use it in a video (so that it isn't protected).
Why not buy the CD? Its a very good CD and film, yes, but the songs are 90% useless without the videos, like Beelzeboss. Beelzeboss is a rock off with Satan, with amazing dancing (in a sarcastic way) so, the video is kind of important for this and many others. I tried listening to Beelzeboss, didn't feel the same. There's not much point in buying it, unless ya gonna use it in a film of somekind. Best option for you is too download the videos off of google-video (this is still staying legal these options), purchasing off of Itunes or various other options you may find (perhaps filming it ya-self).

In an age where epithets such as "visionary", "genius" and "unique" are bandied about as cheap and undeserving labels to whatever media studies graduate laptop project makes Dazed and Confused's cover this month - it is always rewarding to accidentally chance upon something that, whilst clearly not going to be everyone's cup of tea, actually deserves such adjectives.
I saw this CD in a shop in Bath and I liked the simple cover. I liked the title and also I liked the fact that there were 49 songs in 45 minutes on it. And it was by a man called Ivor.
Ivor Cutler, accompanied with a creaky harmonium, proceeds to reel off random observations and harrowing sparrow tales in a voice that reminds me of the old Scottish soldier on ... Read More:

A good question, that.... there is nothing here that hasn't been issued before, either on "The World of the Goons" (which had all the Decca titles together with tracks by Ray Ellington and Max Geldray) and various Peter Sellers and/or Spike Mlligan compilations. Yet this is the FIRST time ALL the Goon singles have been gathered on one disc and as such is a must for the car or for relaxing to (or both, buy two!)
I have the original 10" LP of Unchained Melodies, and "The World Of The Goons", and the Peter Sellers Collection (where the EMI tracks came out in 1990!) and I still bought this with my own money!
If you are new to the Goons, this is a must buy.
If you aren't new to Spike & Co. it's still worth considering as a unique ... Read More:

Long before the advent of DVD players or video recorders the BBC would create LP records of not surprisingly radio shows and later the soundtrack of television programmes. And so during my youth at the height of my Monty Python obsession I bought this and the other Python LP's to keep me entertained whilst I waited for the next set of repeats to be shown on television.
The first series of Python included some of the greatest sketches to ever be shown on television including the classic Pet Shop sketch, Nudge, Nudge and of course the Lumberjack song. Routines so popular they not only graced this LP but every Python live show. Listening to these on the record was perhaps pointless as they were also being performed daily in school playgrounds ... Not a bad CD. But The Wurzels seem to have jazzed up some of the songs, bit of a disco beat. My 7 year old thought they were good to dance to. Having said that they do sound good, but not what true Wurzel fans might expect. Some of the song I remember Adge Cutler singing, and thought Pete Budd's versions wern't as good. He seemed to be trying to sing them in Adge's style & personally thought that didn't work. If you prefer the Wurzels now then you will probably enjoy this CD. Fans of the older stuff, namly Adge, may not.

Guaranteed to get you smiling regardless of the circumstances and the chances are you'll be singing one of these songs to yourself for hours after listening to it. A good range of moods in the songs but full of superb jokes and showcasing some genuine comedic and musical talent.
Worth noting that the more risque songs are included in their entirety so may be an idea to avoid playing it in front of your elderly grandparents or in the background at children's parties.

Buy this and you will convulse laughing, jaw hanging open at what you've just heard. Comedy so sharp it burns through the skulls of lesser comedians.

Ivor Cutler entertains with his songs and monologues. He is joined by Fred Frith on Viola for some songs and Phyllis King reads some of her poetry.

You don't get much for your money with this EP but what you do get is quality from the get go to the let go. If you've never heard Flight of the Conchords before this CD makes an excellent (if slightly pricey) introduction to the funniest novelty folk duo on the planet.
If you've already got the HBO TV series, buy the BBC radio series before you get this. It's almost as good as the TV show and you get a lot of Conchords for your money. But do buy this, it's just as good as anything else the Conchords have done and if you loved them on TV or on the radio you won't want to miss out.
