O my The Dickies. I found them on Youtube, and it jogged my memory to listen to them again.
If your after Ballard's,Romance, romantic voices, easy listening don't come here. This is fast PUNK, and in my top 20 of Punk groups.
I don't think there is a track above 2 and a half minute's. They speed up every song, Nights in White (Harlem), Paranoid (Sabbath),
the time for these songs is about 2 minutes! it's unbelievable. My daughter has just seen the video of them, and she said
The Ramones. While yes l would agree there are similarities (Bear in mind The Ramones are one of my favourite groups), but the act on stage is FUN FUN FUN. To go and see The Ramones (which l did several times) and The Dickies, it was 2 DIFFERENT ... Read More:

I had to share a room with a Zappa fan in college and the songs were funny after a few beers but the musicianship or the melodies never grabbed me by the Colones. Then another Zappa fan introduced me to Watermelon, we heard it with the lights low, our minds up in the clouds and the friend setting off his flash gun at random moments during this extraordinary instrumental. Its 30 years ago and I can remember it like yesterday. Then he said Joe's Garage part 1 was even better. So the next time I had some money(student days) I bought my first Zappa album and was I amazed. One of the best country albums I've heard. Covers many of the country classics and some new too. Boxcar's voice is great and the band knows what it's doin', so simply the best album in my opinion.

This is a great collection of parodies. 'white and Nerdy' is a stand out.Weird Al is hilariously funny, while coming up with great parodies.There is even a DVD section with photos, and the whole album in stereo. Great stuff!

I first listened to this in a friends bedroom on vinyl - I laughed so hard that I got him to record it onto tape for me....i then proceeded to play chosen segments of this down my CB radio to annoy all!

A great sketch that lasts a whole album....I bought this and had to wait many weeks to get a copy from the USA - i wanted it that much I did not mind the wait...if you have not heard this and you remember the young ones, then this is just for you!

Burnt Weeny Sandwich

This was just about the last of the original MOI albums("Weasels" was released after they and FZ split)and it is my all time favourite album,not just by FZ but by anybody.
Two covers of 1950s doowop(WPLJ and Valarie)are the bread,the sandwich is the remainder,fantastic instrumentals showing both the Mothers in full flight(mostly in the studio,but some bits,ie the guitar solo in "Holiday in Berlin Full Blown",spliced in from live shows),FZ's blossoming as a guitarist,and lastly his abilities as a composer and bandleader.Highlights are hard to pick out as the music is so good,but "Holiday In Berlin Full Blown","Aybe Sea"(a rare example of FZ playing auocustic guitar)and the piano solo followed by the full force of the MOI at the begining of "Little House I Used To Live In".

cant help but agree with previous reviews an excellent feel good album, music amusing but seriously accomplished at the same time, well worth a listen and you will want to listen again, what more do you want? how many albums do u listen to more than twice? had this for years but it still is a favourite along wi the flaming lips and alex harvey.
