I bought this album for my kids last year and they liked it so much they only stopped playing it a few months ago! As well as imaginative interpretations of Halloween classics like 'Monster Mash' and 'Ghostbusters' sung by witches and ghouls, the album also features two fantastic original compositions called 'Spooky Boogie' and 'Hello Halloween', which my kids absolutely love. To top it all off there's a scary story and 20 minutes of spooky sound effects, which are great as background atmosphere for party games. Brilliant value!

This sounded like a great buy initially. My baby boy loves songs but although there are 100 of them, you can't select which one you want to listen to. It only comes in two sections and to hear a popular song, you have to plough through an irritating selection of spoken rhymes. I've given up trying to listen to it now.

I went to see the movie, 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging' a few days ago, and loved the Stiff Dylans that featured in it. I looked up some of the songs on YouTube and drove my parents crazy until my friend pointed out that, if I loved it so much, I should buy the soundtrack album. It was a very wise move. There is great music on here and I definately recommend it to anyone who loved the movie and the music in it.

CD2 ups the ante with under(over)ground anthems from Dennis Ferrer, Tiger Stripes and the soon to be massive D. Ramirez & Dirty South collaboration. DVD also included. Invest now.

The annual globe-hopping compilation from writer and broadcaster Charlie Gillett is a showcase for both headline stars and obscure gems. It's no surprise, then, to find tracks from stars like Toumani Diabaté, Orchestre Baobab, Israels Yasmin Levy or Uzbek diva Sevara Nazarkhan, but the oddities are often as arresting. Here's a reggaematic Romanian love song from Germany and the yearning tones of Australia-based Tartar singer Zulya. Beautifully sequenced, the 34 tracks from 28 countries make clear that the world's music (not world music) is increasingly hybridised and perennially fascinating.

Yes the price is good, but before you buy this make sure you look at the listings first (unlike me)!!! For example, no ABBA, no Queen, no Blondie etc. etc. etc. I'm very disappointed with it. The "101 70s Hits" one looks a bit better, but from now on I'll stick to downloading individual tracks, or gettings Greatest Hits albums from the individual artists.
