I listened to CD 1 and that was enough for me. When are MOS going to learn that they cant keep cranking out rubbish like this year upon year? (Well since 2001 anyway!) Give me the best tunes of the year and decent remixes on Vinyl and I will make the Annuals for you? how does that sound?

I hate it when people write reveiws claiming its nothing new its boring etc because when you buy a classic album thats what you are gonna get classic old tuuuunes, so why buy if all ya gonna do is slag it off for being full of the same old repetative tunes "ITS IN THE TITLE!"... Anyway thats my rant over lets get down to the album. The only thing that lets this album down is its called classic yet the most classic euphoruc tune of this era is not included (cafe del mar energy 52), thats my only gripe!... The album itself is just packed with the tunes of a musical genre that meant so much to so many people. Around the millenium euphoric trance was at a standard that will never be repeated again as it was blissfully full of quality and meaning, ... Read More:

Very Best Of Xtreme Euphoria Mixed By Lisa Lashes

I guess it was only a matter of time untill Ministry Of Sound released a Hard Dance/Hard House classics compilation.

On the whole this is an acceptable album and as it focuses on the "Harder" side of EDM which hasent been so widely milked or ruined by commercialism unlike Trance and so although it is a "Very Best Of...." it still has some dignity as do the tracks.

However.....Ministry of Sound just couldnt let a classics album go without:

a) giving it 3CD's
b) putting on all the usual suspects on this un-needed extra disc

I am of course refering to the first disc that low and behold has tracks such as "Sandstorm" (do we realy need this track AGAIN??? its not particularly that good anyway) and ... Read More:

Classical Chillout 2

Basically, this album does what it says on the tin; it's a collection of short classical pieces that are soothing on the ear. So far, so common. But what I enjoyed particularly about this album was the eclectic nature of some of the pieces, particularly the inclusion of Izzy's "Going Home" and Batt's "Love in Slow Motion".

Both CDs offer a good mix of the old and well loved (e.g. Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze"), and newer, and perhaps less familiar pieces. And I can't be the only Harry Potter fan pleased to find John Williams's score here!

All in all, I found this to be an enjoyable and well put together compilation, and I would recommend it if you are looking for a chillout CD that is slightly out of the ordinary.

Great collection of mellow dance music from Rue Du Soleil, stable mates of Cafe del Mar. I think comparable with the best of Cafe del Mar. The tracks with sparse mainly female vocals blend beautifully together leading you down different avenues of feeling.

Kick your shoes off, have a glass of wine, think of the person you have loved more than the world itself and let the music take you both to far off shores...

This CD is incredible! I bought it when it first came out and have listened to it at least once a week ever since. No other dance compilations I have ever heard, including later Gatecrashers, are even close in comparison. Especially CD 1 !!! WOW! Buy this if you haven't already!!!
