Incredible, timeless and beautiful. I owned this when it first came out over 10 years ago, and somewhere in the crazy few years that followed i lost it. But having just found a copy i can't believe how amazing it still sounds after all this time. Stunning. One of the best dance mix/compilations of all time. Sound be in every dance fan collection. Even if you are younger and just getting into dance music, you owe it to yourself you to own this. Essential.
Release Date October 27, 2003
its a proper dance album and has a range of good music, personally i think the tracks on disk 2 could be improved, but hey, overall it was worth buying

I know I know! why have they put Silence on the Spring Annual? (considering it came out in Autumn 2000...) well, personally, I think it is a timeless classic and fits in anywhere... but other than that minor hiccup, the Ministry's selection of (albeit rather commercial) tunes is amazing, ranging from the soft and ambient 'American Dream' to the hillariously hard 'Hey DJ' and everything inbetween is great too
Obviously this is quite an old compilation now, but I still listen to it all the time (CD2 more than CD1) because it certainly has quite a shelf life. If it ever gets reduced to under a tenner BUY IT! but if you're willing to spend more than that, I'd buy a more recent compilation such as the Ibiza Euphoria vol.3

Yet another installment in MoS' quite frankly offensive series of 'The Annual'. To be brutally honest I don't know where to begin the slating. 61 of the most vapid "now!" kiddie-bop-along-heard-it-all-before tracks you could ever come across. If you own a radio or have ever had the joy of listening to one you will have heard about 97% of the songs on this album. As a snapshot of 2004 it is lacklustre. As a bona-fied MoS compilation it is simply dire. They havent learned from the same mistakes they have been making since 2002. Yawn.

I picked up this double CD on the basis that just about every Ministry collection I've bought was pretty good. I wanted something a little more 'spiritual' than all the other soft-trance/world-music stuff that has flooded the market and thought that Ministry would do a good job. Well, I'm so glad that I had faith because we play it regularly and never seem to tire of it. It's the right vibe for just about every occasion from dinner party to chillout. I particularly like the second CD and must confess that we play it in preference to the first. Across the spectrum from the haunting Caislean Oir (Clannad) to the soulful Rah (Natacha Atlas) and the very danceable Touareg (Le Duc) it all in all makes for very enjoyable listening that you'll play again and again as we have ... With the current release of Hed Kandi cds you can see the direction that the brand has taken since being bought by MOS. These compilations are no longer about the music but aimed at making money and rank up there with the NOW!!! That's What I Call Music in the cheesy stakes. Acquiring the brand was a huge coup for MOS but with the increasing commercialisation of house music it was going to be interesting as to which way the brand was to go. Unfortunately if you're a fan of house music give this a miss as you might as well just turn on the radio to hear these tunes. If you're a true fan of house music purchase something by Defected or Fierce Angels to hear the real sound of house
