I have just returned home with this cd and I have to say I love it already. I'm not going to pretend I'm some sort of guro and comment on the mixing skills of the dj but having been into house music for well over 15 years I know what I like. I also have the Steve Angello Sessions and this makes a superb compliment to that, probably because they are both members of the so called Swedish Mafia which are so hot at the moment. It definately has the 'now' faxctor and nicely follows Axwell's Essential Mix of earlier this month.

The Best Punk Album in the World...Ever Vol.2

If you do get around to buying this I would suggest getting it with its predecessor, owning both volumes one and two, a set of 4 cd's of the music that defined the late seventies and early eighties, you get a sense of just how important songs like these really were. And what's great about this collection is it's way of not just giving you punk music (although a large number of the bands featured would balk at the classification) but also throwing in the more important tracks of the era such as Patti Smith's Rock 'n' Roll Nigger and bands like Teardrop Explodes, Wire and Joy Division. Twisted Disco 02.04

Being a fan of the entire Hed Kandi compilations, this one disappoints.

Disc one is pretty dismal. I think the track selection could have been better. For instance, Scissor Sisters and Goldfrapp on a Twisted Disco compilation? I don't see where they fit in. But apart from that the only good tracks on disc one are from Aloud, Silver Sonic & Bastian.

Disc two starts bad with Narcotic Thrust's cheese anthem but redeems itself with tracks from Bonnie Bailey, Camel Riders, Junior Jack & Dave Guetta.

If the poor quality of this compilation is anything to go by, I will be giving the next instalment a miss.

I first heard it as mp3 I downloaded off the web and liked it so much went out and ordered it here on amazon and I am awaiting my copy. I consider myself a trance fan who doesn't like hard stuff. But I still want something with a nice beat to it. This trance is perfect. I would also recommend Ibiza Euphoria by matt darey, also his 'pure' euphoria vol4. I am also impressed with Gatecrasher black, red, and wet. I am also trying to buy those for a reasonable price though. I also like trance nation 4 by ferry corsten. I ordered the other trance nations done by him so I will see how they stack up to four but based from reviews they should be just as good. Now the euphoria line has many offerings. I echo all the sentiments before, unlike some HK relases this has no dips in flow whatsoever, the rhythm is constant from start to finish on both CD's..big vocal tunes, soaring bass..you just want it to go on and on..!! Sunshine in a complete package..if you haven't added this to your HK collection, then I suggest you do..!!

Somehow this 1986 compilation doesn’t contain all my personal favourites from that year, but it’s still great value for money and provides a fairly comprehensive view of the flavour of the charts. Besides, it also contains the re-release of a major classic from the 1960s, Marvin Gaye’s timeless I Heard It Through The Grapevine. The great soul songs are Billy Ocean’s When The Going Gets Tough, Robert Palmer’s Addicted To Love and James Brown’s hypnotic Living In America. Another delightful classic from this year is Julian Cope’s wonderful World Shut Your mouth. Synthpop was doing well in the shape of Human League, The Communards and Talk Talk, while Bowie was still hitting the charts, although Absolute Beginners is not one ... Read More:

The Best Pepsi Chart Album In The World...Ever! 2000

Unlike many of the so-called "hits" albums available around this time of year (and I think you know which I'm talking about), this compilation has some more than the average amount of effort into their choice of songs. Instead of the normal two or three new songs and the bulk of the album just being the same songs as on other compilations, we find that the majority of the songs are new soon to be hits, making this album of the more pleasurable to listen to. Don't get me wrong, there are still too many 'old' songs for my liking, but out of the many hits albums - this has got to be the one to buy
