Release Date November 23, 1998
This CD is what a compilation album should be like. Great music and giant hits from start to finish.
Inlcuding all the biggest and best hits from the end of '98 this cd is surely going to sell loads with the likes of Boyzone, Robbie Willliams, Stardust and The Corrs. Also including some more peculiar selections such as Culture Club, the infectious Would You? by Touch and Go and the haunting sound of Sweetbox with Everything's Gonna Be Alright.
These two cd's are chock a block with quality hits and no doubt deserves to sell all the copies it does and quite easily one of 98's best compilations.

I would guess that most people these days, upon seeing this album in the listings, would opine that the marketing department at EMI must be scraping the bottom of the barrel to come up with this for their "Best...In The World...Ever" series. Fans of band music will shun it for its pick-and-mix composition, and everyone else will not give it a second thought.
Unfashionable it may be, but there is nothing quite like the raw power and stirring sound of a military band playing live, unadulterated by electronics and amplification, and, while it is almost impossible to transfer this energy satisfactorily to record, to simply ignore it is to miss out on some blistering tunes and harmonies, and great music overall, and I would argue that ... A fantastic selection of all the tunes you've ever said "Oh.. that's the tune from the ....advert, isn't it? What's it called?" about.
OK that's a very trite comment, but you get my point. Pure enjoyment, without the intervention of the tracks in a single classical album which you have to pretend to appreciate if you're not to look like a Philistine.
An absolute belter..an education, and a gateway to composers you'd never heard of, (neither had I).

I think that this is actually quite a good mixture of music. Its hard to keep everyone happy, but as far as compilations go this one is very well put together! ok there are one or two unfortunate tracks, but the rest is definatly acceptable!

I never ever ever give anything 10/10 because to me thats impossible, with the exception of this mix compilation from the world's greatest ever trance DJ - Sasha! ..it dropped at the very height of the scene's best musical output (mid 99) and happened in the best location, in it's best ever club (Space, Ibiza - & recorded live for fu*ks sake!) and was presented by the best ever DJ in it's league, published by the finest and best quality series of mix compilations during the golden age of the mix compilation! (because face it now their dead...) Like all of the 5 star reviews you don't need to be told to buy this, you probably already own it or you've just clicked 'buy'..

I bought this at the Cafe del Mar, having just watched the sun go down whilst sipping champagne and cocktails with a friend. Beautiful. Three days later our car was broken into and my bag was nicked, with this inside. Less beautiful. Suffice to say I'd grown to love this album enough by that point to be replacing it now I'm home. Everyone's got volume 5. Be different...
