How lovely it is to hear the complete score to this great movie presented in this way. unlike most soundtracks this CD has the feeling of a symphony about it. Indeed in his notes Laurent Bouzereau says that Williams wanted this cd to be experienced almost as a suite. What you get is all the music, well cued and edited, flowing together in practically one glorious whole. And if you don't know Jaws certainly isn't all dum dum dum dum... there are some wonderful tunes here, my favorites being the sweeping 'the great shark chase' and the haunting 'Quint's tale'. Remastered from original master tapes this is for anyone who dreams of owning a bigger boat.

Zulu - Ost [Us Import]

I am the hugest fan of the film 'Zulu' and so instantly bought this OSD when I saw it. I was so disappointed when I saw all the rubbish that they had added on to the rest of the CD. After listening to all tracks on both CDs I decided that the album could easily be only 7 tracks long. The rest are from other films!! I gave this OSD 4 Stars because the 7 tracks that are good are infact great! Extremely powerful, brilliantly played and just bring back all the memories of the film. It didn't get 5 stars simply because of all the other rubbish. Definitely worth buying for any fan of the film.

Love Nyman - or never heard of him - well buy this anyway. A stunning selection of his best bits - especially 'the upside down violin' - I defy you to listen to it and not end up with a smile on your face ( and probably dancing around the room). Wonderful stuff

The Music of Candyman

This is all organ or piano with choir/chorus - which gives the very gothic sound. Remixed for home stereo (rather than cinema surround sound) this asmelodic as Glass gets - kind of Kraftwerk goes gothic.
A littlechallenging but not too extreme if you like traditional Organ and Chorus(lots of loud Ahhhhhs).

First Blood

When First Blood was first released, I was doing my Graduation. "It's a Long Road..." How can anyone who has seen First Blood forget that song. It was not used in the other two films but Sly uses it again in the 5th Rambo,"JOHN RAMBO". We saw it in the Cinema. The entire pathos and feel of David Morell's Book is captured in that song. Hats off to Jerry Goldsmith for such a wonderful Creation. In India, there is a bad habit in Cinemas. They stop projection, once the main feature is over(similar to HBO) and people start flooding out. My 'guru',BG Mohammed has done an oil, right after, he saw the movie, where Rambo comes drifting into Will Teasel's territory. He came home from the Cinema, and within a week completed the Oil.
