If you enjoy country and particuarly if you are a Toby Keith fan then you should have this CD. I have to admit that on a first pass I was disappointed but the more I played it the better it got.

When Lee Ann released her debut album, she was acclaimed as the new standard bearer for traditional country music. Her second album reinforced that status but this third album finds Lee Ann moving towards an easy-listening style although this is still essentially a country album. Following this album, Lee Ann made a significant step away from country with her next two albums (one of which was a Christmas album) but then returned to her roots with a much more traditional country album. Thus, Lee Ann has tried various styles but her wonderful voice always sounds great.

I bought this CD having seen "Nothing better to do" on MTV and was not disappointed. It has a country rock feel with some fabulous ballads too. The duets with Marc Broussard and Bon Jovi are highlights along with the title track and the one that origanially caught my attention. Leanne's voice is strong and powerful and there is non of the mushiness that I had previously associated with her. A positive change of direction for Leanne and I will certainly be looking out for her next offering on the strength of this CD.

I started off in country music with Garth Brooks and progressed on, i brought Kenny's Greatest Hits cd after seeing him sing on the 2005 CMA Awards and haven't looked back since.He has some really really great stuff out there,but i really love this album Dont blink being my favorite song on the album. the album is more thoughtful than some of the others,one of the most thought provoking is Dancing for the groceries.
I would say to anyone give the albun a go it is one of my most played cd's since I brought it
. i wait in anticipation of a new album hope its soon!!!

This twin CD album, which tells the stories of the American Civil War and Jesse James, is an absolute gem. If you like country music sung by the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris and Eric Clapton, you will love it. The lyrics are intelligent and thought provoking. The accompanying booklet is well worth a read. Together the two CDs give "the common man's" experience of the American Civil War and its aftermath. In some ways, it's an opera about heroism, injustice and ultimately, tragedy. I bought the vinyl version of the Legend of Jesse James back in 1980 and the music remains as fresh and moving as ever. I cannot recommend this double album highly enough.

This is a fine collection of songs from Nickel Creek's three albums, together with a couple of unreleased live tracks, plus a bonus DVD containing all (I think) of the promotional videos they've made. A lot has already been written about the history of the band (they began playing together when they were only children, and are still frighteningly young) and their skill (Chris Thile is possibly the best mandolin player in the world, but Sean and Sara Watkins are no slouches either). The music is derived from bluegrass, but with the addition of many modern influences, which come to the fore in the tracks off their most recent album.
