Every year, when the colder months roll around (every month bar june-august!) you find yourself looking back to the long lost days of summer. And to accompany your little nostalgic trip there should always be music, anthems - songs of the summer! Every year has them and it only takes you to hear about 30secs of a song before you're crying 'this reminds me of summer!'
Well, here is Cream Ibiza, released just before summer 2001 officially ends and packed with all those tunes that'll have you reaching for the photo album you stocked up through July and August, or the clubbers video you made on your hols!
There isnt as much commercial 'cheese' on here as you might expect from a CD with Ibiza in the title. And overall, there ... Read More:

Im a great believer in dance complilation albums, although i usually end up buying albums that only have one song on that i love. When i first picked up this album, a song jumped out at me. Sueno Latino! I was sold already, when i gazed over the songs on the album i couldn't believe it, it has an amazing mixture of songs that you wouldn't have put on an album with dance tunes. Lullaby (The Cure) and Forbidden Colours (David Sylvian) are fantastic and put amongst some ibiza classics, this album should be in every CD rack in every home. You only have to read the track list, and there is at least one song that everyone will remember and love. Buy it!

You can probably count on one hand the number of grade-A compilations from tune factories Ministry of Sound, Cream, and the like. They're not striving for critical acclaim, aiming instead to please the greatest amount of people with A&R researched music. Which is fine since that's what you buy 'em for anyway. Some cheese is expected but no filler tracks, just the hits that tickle your fancy bits.
Punte En El Mar supposedly represents the "beach bar grooves from around the world," which really means a big heap of tribally house numbers from all the usual suspects. Peace Division beat their drums, Circus Night and Dirty Vegas do the same but with tiger screams and garbled vocals. The nondescript Disc two veers more progressive/trance ... Read More:

Ordered this item upon being full of hope that this CD will give me the feeling what a night at the legendary Cream might be (ruling a good name DJ) and I may be hearing or learning the other more popular dance side of Seb Fontaine. My first wish came through however but second one only more or less. Although I like Seb's techy house style therefore I have and appreciate his Prtototype 3 and 4 so much, didn't think this mood would prevail the majority of the CDs. First CD determined by his original style cought up few (used to be up to date) tracks. Second one (labelled looking forward) kicks off with same style and by the middle of it turns to a dancing 35-40 minutes full of best trance tracks keep on building until the end that makes the ...
