This 2-disc edition, as well as including a DVD, also has one exclusive bonus track that is not on the standard 1-disc edition. This is a new version of Miss You from the Insomniac album and when I say it's a new version, I mean that very literally. It's a duet with French singer Nadiya and the song has been completely re-worked both lyrically and musically. It's a brilliant new interpretation and if you like this then I would recommend tracking down the French release of Tired of Being Sorry (Laisse Le Destin L'Emporter) either as a single or on the French version of Insomniac where Enrique and Nadiya also worked together.

I can't remember how I first heard of this, but I am so glad I did because the music they play just blows you away. It's uncategorisable. it's new. It's energetic use of the guitar as the percussion for their tracks is so unknown to most modern listeners, but so good to listen to. I never knew acoustic guitar could be so compelling! If you like any kind of guitar music, you must buy this. And something from Seasick Steve. Something fresh at last.

Some real gems here. Granted some of the tracks have been released on other compilation records (namely Gilles Peterson's; indeed Forge used to DJ with Gilles back in the eighties; check out their excellent Dingwalls record) but that's because the songs are excellent. There's a nice mix of funk, jazz, folk and soul here that is sure to make your average party goer stand up, take notice, and applaud your unique and well flavoured musical taste.

I heard this album, whilst on holiday in Girona (Spain).
It is a must buy album. Even if you can't understand Spanish,she has a wonderful voice. It has a contemporary-jazzy sound without losing the traditional Espanic feeling. thanks for readind DaveyT.

i have just recieved this cd and it is wonderful. for the price it is a bargain not to be missed. it is full of life and passion and everything you would expect of true flamenco music. it doesnt matter if this is your first introduction to flamenco or you are a seasoned fan, you will enjoy this album.

Please, Please buy this. This is a masterwork of genius. Never have I heard someone with such a deep understanding of what music should be. Jorge is a adpetly at home in so many styles. "America do Norte" and "Trabalhador" are both nods to the influence of North American percussion, both styles fitted effortless into the Jorge plan - sprightly, melodic - this man can make a violin sound funky. "Burguesinha" is a beautiful pop-samba - Jorge's understanding of the transecendent chanted chorus in evidence. This track will have you humming along, tapping your toes. My favourite track is the show-stoppingly brilliant "Mina do Condominio" - the way the lyrics just patter around the passionate chorus with that beautiful mandolin - one of the great tracks ... I Love Salsa: Essential Dance Class Hits

Although I really enjoyed the music,I did find a lot of the tracks very fast to keep up with being a complete beginner.You either have to go ultra slow or extremely fast.I found there were only a few tracks that went at the right speed to comfortably practice as a novice.Will keep it for when I'm an expert!If anyone out ther knows of a CD with a more suitable for beginners,please let me know.
