I bought this for Camisa Negra which I love and hoped that more tracks would be in the same style. Unfortunately not so. But it is an interesting mix of very different styles, sure to please a varied audience. I must say other than the above song the best pieces were the bonus tracks from the Un Dia Normal album. The sound on it was much more pleasant. I did not like the symphony like accompanyment on Mi Sangre. Too much orchestra, prefer hearing guitar and vocals and percussion.
AFTER LISTENING TO THIS FOR AWHILE- I love it!! Some of the most beautiful songs are the slower ones. So I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves latin music. Definite Colombian flavour!! Great Stuff.

Which is exactly what I bought it for. I felt something was missing from my CD collection and it has been filled by a collection of beautiful cuban music. Excellent to chill out to on a hot summery day. You will even probably recognise a few tracks or a few of the hooks from tracks used in todays music or even from a few adverts.

Highly recommended.

Ricky Martin's first english language album was probably the album that started the explosin in Latin Music in the late 90's and what an album it is. It starts off superbly with 'Livin' La Vida Loca' which is still one of the best latin/dance tracks ever released and sounds just as fresh now as it did then. Anybody expecting the album to be full of songs in the same style as 'Livin' La Vida Loca' may at first find themselves a little disapointed as there are lot of ballads and mid-tempo tracks also present but all of these are done very well. My favourites being 'Private Emotion' and 'She's All I Ever Had'. Strangely, the only track on the album i don't really like is 'Be Careful' his duet with Madonna which just sounds out of place.

Another great CD full of popular tunes from the caribbean. It makes you feel like you are there dancing under the palm trees. If you have been on holiday to the Carribean last year or early this year, you will recognise most of the tunes as they are played on the local radio over there. All the tunes are good and lively. My favourite is the last track "Dont call my phone". WELL WORTH BUYING!

Two years ago Sergio Mendes came back into the mainstream with the Grammy-winning "Timeless" co-produced by wil.i.am with songs featuring Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, John Legend, Justin Timberlake and several other international stars. That album, by virtue of its all-star pop line-up and co-producer had a more hip-hop "flava" to it.

This album has three things going for it that none of the other albums have.

1. Jennifer REALLY singing. She has the same thing with her normal 'talking' voice that Michael Jackson has. I.e the texture of her natural voice doesn't sound good on record so the singing needs to be given an edge (lots of 'wildness' and 'growling' and more importantly, 'emotion'!) she has really grown in confidence and the singing is now up to the standard you would expect of a pop singer.
