This is a amazing album. It has a lot of genres that include :slow music, latin, pop and rock. This really is a great album. Her voice is amazing and the moves are sexy and cool.Her voice is not deemed as the most flowing swan on the lake, it stands as one female in a world dominated by males, singing how she wants to sing, and not caring on peoples veiws on her! Although this album contians bad language and rude parts it is a amazing album and if you want 2 party then choose this album. In the last track she sings in spainish 95% of the time. Hips don't lie is my favourite song of 2006. Buy this when music in the 'popular' culture isn't up to your standards, and I swear you won't be dissapointed! Like everyone I know, I first heard Julio when on holiday and his voice, even many years later, brings a warm feeling whenever I play his CD and I confess that I play it more than any other single CD I own.

Yes, some tracks work better for me than others but this is not just a greatest hits but an ultimate hits copllection.

His voice envelopes everything, bringing smooth flowing sound that is pleasing even if you are not listening but rewarding if you are.

This collection lifts him to the position of the number one European singer of romantic love songs.

I don't have his other CDs - there is no point this is the collection to have.

Although I really enjoyed the music,I did find a lot of the tracks very fast to keep up with being a complete beginner.You either have to go ultra slow or extremely fast.I found there were only a few tracks that went at the right speed to comfortably practice as a novice.Will keep it for when I'm an expert!If anyone out ther knows of a CD with a more suitable for beginners,please let me know.

Piazzolla: Tango Zero Hour

This as hands down one of the most astonishing recordings I have ever heard. I bought it knowing a bit about tango, and a bit about Piazzolla, but regardless of that, this is incredible music. The music itself is gorgeous - dark, beautiful, ominous, brooding and deeply passionate. The playing is beyond compare - laser precise and yet at the same time gritty and rough. This is very much a band effort, and what a band - they swing, caress and whip up thunder.

Apparently this angered the tango purists in Argentina, as did much of Piazzollas output, and I can see why - this is modern, vital music, with clear influences from jazz, classical music and even the rush of punk. I only discovered Buena Vista with the free Movie cd with my Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago and Ibrahim Ferrer is just an undiscovered Legend in my books. Well, up till the last few years of his life. GET THIS!!!

Bajofondo Tango Club

If you're looking for classical tango, as per previous reviewer, then look elsewhere now.
I was smitten by GotanP after hearing them on a Costes mix. However BajofondoTG are even better IMHO.
But whet really got me was when they were scheduled to play live in Brighton earlier this year. However on the night they hadn't arrived by the opening time. An hour later and still no show. Turned out they were delayed at the airport and eventually started a hour and half late.
You read lots about groups who's sound has lots of sampling, how they have a 'studio sound', and their live performace are somewhat lacking. Well I thought BTG do have that sort of sound.

This is full of really good catchy songs. If you liked the hits Hero, or Escape buy the album, then you will want to buy "7" and "Insomniac" and "Enrique"! I did and they're all very good. This is melodic, emotive writing singing and production. So many good songs, which Enrique co-writes. His voice seems to carry a lot of emotion and feeling. I must say I'm hooked on it, some years after I first heard "Hero" I'll say. Better late than...! Buy it and enjoy. Cheers.

This is the most thrilling, exciting sound I have heard in ages. What amazing talent and energy! I cannot stop playing it night or day, it is so uplifting.
Even when I am not playing it, the rhythms and melodies keep coming into my head and I find myself nodding,tapping my feet or drumming with my fingers in tempo. The sound quality in general is absolutely superb, however, can anyone explain the small blip of interference between track 2 and 3 ? It only lasts a few seconds but I think this couple deserve perfection in the recording of their performance. I was also a little disappointed in the quality of the DVD production.
In spite of these criticisms I heartily recommend this album and still give it five stars!
