Bob Spour is a guy who clearly knows what he's doing, and this DVD is a great introduction to the techniques used in Muay Thai. As a Hung Gar practitioner it was interesting to see some of the techniques specific to Muay Thai, particularly the jumping punch which completely wrong-footed my teacher when I used it against him in sparring! All in all I think this is a very useful reference guide for any martial artist who needs to refer to the mechanics of punching and fighting.

I love 'Love at First Sight'! It's got that destinctive guitar hook on it that just defines the sound of Fever-era Kylie for me. Her vocals on this track sound so laid-back and effortless in their happiness, and it shows in the brilliant video you get on this DVD single.

The visual effects in the video are fantastic and still look really innovative today and i love how naturalistic Kylie looks with just a simple white vest and those awesome cargo-pants with the big pockets, i want a pair of them! The dance routine for this song is great too.

Can't honestly say I'd call DK a jazz artist on this showing but it is an extremely enjoyable album. If it might be termed easy-listening it certainly is easy to listen to. How it is categorized hardly matters it's an incredibly playable album, very well produced, beautifully played. The vocals are delightfully sung, and Miss Krall really can carry emotion and feeling with a tune, by turns, injecting romance, humour, pathos, and wit.

Easy 5 stars.

This is the hallmark recording that started the Moody Blues on their sojourn and it is a remarkable one at that. This grouping brought in John Lodge and Justin Hayward maximizing the songwriting and five-way vocal harmonizing that is so well known now. Although the symphonic arrangments may sound slightly dated, it is still a 'mood-piece' to wash away your worries and dive into your dreams. "Night In White Satin" was released in 1967 and 1971 as a single, so strong is it's appeal. The other songs display how talented and unafraid these musicians were to experiment, bringing classical pop into the rock arena.

I read recently that The Who thought that Tommy was unfinished and wanted to add more electric guitar but time and financial constraints dictated otherwise. If this is the case, then lets be thankful for once to the schedulers as the sparseness of the arrangements play a major role in making Tommy such a brilliant album.

The strengths of Tommy are many. Musically it contains a fine selection of melodic songs with brilliant harmonies and superb playing in particular by Pete Townsend (often on acoustic guitar) and John Entwhistle on sympathetic melodic bass - before he felt the need to over-complicate his playing. Commercial jazz has had its fair share of knocks since it became fashionable to dislike the (sometimes) bland and souless playing of the likes of Kenny G et al.However, amongst the largely mindless pop music of the eighties shone this fine album.
Commercial-yes, but the playing and production are of such high quality that if you cannot recognise the splendour of these summer jazz/samba beats then you do not understand music.The soulful bonus of the fantastic Bill Withers is just about the icing on the cake.
Relax,kick back on a summer's day with a glass of cool wine and let the vibe wash over you-that's a rare kind of musical peace that you need to experience.

I couldn't advise any other track more. It doesnt get more original then this. Everything from the album cover to the bands costumes will have you laughing at the originality.Where do they come up with this stuff? I don't know but I hope there's alot more where it came from. And ofcoarse the song itself is a classic. If they sung any higher though, only dogs would hear it. I loved it and I can almost garantee that you will too. If you believe in a a thing called love then buy this album!!!! The darkness have brought light on modern music.
