For those looking for total electro, avoid getting this alhbum and just buy a few songs of iTunes like 'We Are Rockstars' 'Wierd Science' and 'Attack of the 60ft Lesbian Octapus' :] this is pretty much a really good album, and i like pop, and i like electro, but i think they should be kept seperate but then that's just my opinion (: not mind blowing stuff but worth a buy XD xx

This 2CD set is currently available at a bargain price on Amazon. It might not be too cutting edge and some of the tracks are now a year or two old but it's definitely worth picking up at a bargain price, as it's a great CD to work to.
Commercial electro house, neatly mixed and well chosen. Don't let the 'Cream' logo put you off, it's a good quality mix.

This cd deserves more than 5 stars. Forty great tracks from one of the greatest singers of all time. Otis Redding was a great influence on the likes of Paul Rodgers. What a tragedy he died so young.

Was really disappointed in this album! I've loved Jamie Lidell from the beginning and my heart sank when I put this on. I can't help thinking it was the completely wrong direction to go from Multiply. Now Lidell's scrapped any essence of his original, techno driven creativity and replaced it with rather syrupy, bland pop soul. I've listened to Jim a few times thinking that it may suddenly click but it hasn't, and won't! James Pants is definitely the way forward now I think.

Alone amongst the arts, music has the ability to reach inside our weather beaten shells, grab our soul by the scruff of the neck and beat us to death in a darkened room. This album does just that. Stick it in the CD player, turn off the lights and be transported.
From the quiet, mesmerising start to the glorious finish Oldfield weaves in all sorts of themes and rythmns, whirling them around in sublimely a co-ordinated composition. The whole thing last over 45 mins and you never once get bored. The fact that he was only 19 and yet managed to play dozens of instruments from the guitar to the percussion, without it being really dreadful, speaks volumes.
Sure it was created in a hurry by people who didn't know what they were doing. But they ... Read More:

Beautiful dance/rave culture/trance/pop/rock n roll euphoria.
this is an epic album, of gigantic proportions
the opener 'Movin on up' is a 70's rock style track with help from a gospel choir, jazz piano and chirpy guitars. then comes 'slip inside this house'. although not written by the scream, the bass guitar and percussion are beautiful, a gloomy yet booming song. 'Dont fight it feel it' is the most uplifting song ive heard. it plays into your brain and any fan of music will appreciate the singing.
the the highlight of the album 'higher than the sun' is a dub epic. althouugh on 4mins long it really will knock you socks off, i cant express just how cool and ice this song is, you have to hear it to realise ther beauty.

This is the most thrilling, exciting sound I have heard in ages. What amazing talent and energy! I cannot stop playing it night or day, it is so uplifting.
Even when I am not playing it, the rhythms and melodies keep coming into my head and I find myself nodding, tapping my feet or drumming with my fingers in tempo. The sound quality in general is absolutely superb, however, can anyone explain the small blip of interference between track 2 and 3 ? It only lasts a few seconds but I think this couple deserve perfection in the recording of their performance. I was also a little disappointed in the quality of the DVD production.
In spite of these criticisms I heartily recommend this album and still give it five stars!

This album was recommended to me by a friend who is heavily into dubstep, and if i'm honest i approached it with a stereotype laid out in head - probably nice beats but lacking depth and substance - and I was so wrong.
The tracks mould into one album better than most, really moving into each other rather than that annoying abrupt stop/start a lot of albums give you. The flowing nature gives for an amazing depth that my short-sightedness never expected. "Untrue" really gives you a wake-up call, not with brash sounds, but with the sheer starkness, whilst "Endorphin" comes so close to imploding it leaves you with an amazing sense of anticipation for something never to be.
Awesome album, awesome sounds, awesome story; if you wanted to buy a book and an album, ... Read More:

I couldn't give this five stars, because there are a few dud tracks on there. But at the price it is well worth the money, because there are loads of great tunes. In fact it is worth the cash just to get a copy of 'Rukumbine'. There is a groovy ska version of the James Bond theme, and a couple of minor key instrumental grooves that really get you dancing. Also 'A little oil in my lamp' is a great singalong ska version of a traditional song, with a gospel feel to it.
I don't know why they chose to start the CD with the Prince Buster tune which is more of a reggae style and not like the rest at all (although it's not a bad tune).
