Beautiful dance/rave culture/trance/pop/rock n roll euphoria.

this is an epic album, of gigantic proportions
the opener 'Movin on up' is a 70's rock style track with help from a gospel choir, jazz piano and chirpy guitars. then comes 'slip inside this house'. although not written by the scream, the bass guitar and percussion are beautiful, a gloomy yet booming song. 'Dont fight it feel it' is the most uplifting song ive heard. it plays into your brain and any fan of music will appreciate the singing.

the the highlight of the album 'higher than the sun' is a dub epic. althouugh on 4mins long it really will knock you socks off, i cant express just how cool and ice this song is, you have to hear it to realise ther ... Read More:

talking book this is a classic soul album i love it and play it quite regually its cool it features two known songs you are the sunshine of my life,superstition and lots of other good songs which aint recoginised so much radios have a habit of playing 2 or 3 songs by one artist all radio stations are guilty of it eg queen bohemian rhapsody,youre my best friend,dont stop me now and sometimes we will rock you but theres plenty of other fab songs by queen eg innuendo,these are the days of our lives,somebody to love and more i like a winters tale too off the made in heaven album fab!! but they do this with any artist play certain songs thats why i get bored by radio stations rather go and put my own cds on!! if i listen too radio its radio2 mark radcliffe and ... So I've just moved home and my record collection is in complete disaray.
I want to listen to something before going on a big (and I mean big) night out but I can't find anything
Then I see this. I haven't listened to this for years. In fact I'm not sure I've lisened to it since I got it from a charity shop (where most of my vinyl comes from) about eight years ago.
It sounds wonderful. If you have this record I suggest that you put it on now.
Nothing needs to be said about Grace Jones, a woman whose image eventually overcame the music until all most people can remember is her attacking Russell Harty.
The music, however, is a dark slinky gem.

A wonderfully mixed style album. Bouncy, moving and with the normal Eat Static voice samples to make you smile like an idiot while on public transport.

An added bonus was to find Steve Hillage adding to several tracks on the album (It never ceases to amaze me how often I find him on albums that I buy - but then again I first listened to him on the Gong releases, so maybe I have been following his music tastes for the last 20+ years.

Eat Static goes to the places that the Chemical Brothers could have done.

My current favourite album of 2008.

Discovery

This album is so awsome it was the very first daft punk album i got and it remains a personal favourite, it is a sound track to their anime dvd- interstella 5555 which complements the mood and tone of each song.
After hearing this album i am now a big fan of daft punk and their music.

Dive Deep

I was a massive fan of Big calm. Listened to it non stop a few years back but since then i kind of forgot about Morcheeba and subsequently did not get much play time on my ipod.. Then my Girlfriend surprised me with tickets to watch them at the Shepherds Bush Empire. They blew me away!

As soon as i got home i listened to there new album which i didnt even know was out. I think it is the best album they have done. Absolutely briliiant, some real hair on the back of your head classic tunes like 'Enjoy the ride' 'Gained the world' 'Sleep on it'.

Great Album a must for any collection!!

Pleasure Pressure Point

This sounds like the Gore compositions on Mode's Speak & Spell; Human League's Travelogue; and a bit of John Foxx's Metamatic. It is more modern in places (but that's 1983-modern).

It is an unusual record and all the better for that: great sounds; emotionless singing. That's not to say it is dirgy and tuneless, because it certainly is not.

I have had it for a couple of days and am enjoying it thoroughly! You just don't get records like this any more...

This album is quality and one of the funkiest I have heard in many a year. Quite difficult to describe, if you like The Quantic Soul Orchestra then you will definitely like this. Great beats, excellent production, very catchy tunes, top quality vocals. On the sleeve notes it says that it says a lot of the music was recorded with real musicians rather than samples, and I think you can really hear this, there is definitely a freshness about the music and quality of sound. Great album, you cant help but want to dance to it.

Joey Negro-surely the uk's answer to Tom Moulton-has done it again with his latest Sunburst band project.Dripping with soulful dancefloor grooves and ace guest vocalists the cd is a lethal combination of 80's boogie and modern House.
After the intro,"Rough times" penned by the great Ashford and Simpson, gets things moving with vocalist Yolanda Wynns letting rip Chaka Khan style.You will believe that the paradise Garage has reopened after hearing this!
"Our lives are shaped" is a great soulful boogie cut that gets better with every play.
My favourite cut is "Put a lyric in it" which has a great mid tempo feel and sounds like it could have been on one of those old Streetsounds compilations(listeners of a certain age will know what I mean).
