I've very strangely titled ths review as like being on a plane, just because some aspects of it are exactly that! When the album starts the plane is parked on the runway and the engines go down then everything just well.. takes off. You want to close your eyes but are just forced to submit and watch, just as the album opens you can't help just just sit listen or get up and dance like a looney depending on preference! Anyway dispensing with the metaphor, I was never a fan of drum and bass or any music of that kind. Jumping All Over The World

There is a real divide with Scooter, it's either Love Em, or Hate em.
I love them. I was so into the 68's house music, and this is the only
music nowadays that is similar to it for me. Give Scooter the due, they
would have been s popular at the start of house, and would have
added so much more diversion.
I bought it it 2 weeks ago, and have most the tracks, but hey it's a
compilation. The first track, "The Definition", you know what
is coming. Boy do you turn up the volume.
Being 50 and liking Scooter is not the norm, l can assure you, especially
when you go and see them in concert, l get "Alright grandad".
I find listening to the Cd's in my own space, brings back memories

I'll admit, im a 'fan' of NIN (I stayed up until 5:30 in the morning waiting for this album to arrive) and i must say, given the nature of ghosts and year zero i didnt really know what to expect, except the two tracks from the album i'd already heard

...I was extremely impressed.

I own just about every halo (including DVD's and singles) and this is by far up with my favourites.

Ill start off with its musical style: it starts off with a track much like one you would find on GHOSTS, haunting and dramatic, but its the way it bleeds into my favourite track of the album, 1.000.000, that gets me everytime, its with 1.000.000 that this album begins as a work of art. I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.

When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

This album has completed my summer! All the dull rainy weather is depressing but darren styles has created an album which feels like summer. Normally with albums created by DJ's the songs all sound the same but Darren Styles has created a summer album with different great songs on. All the songs on here, well except for 'lost the plot' and 'save me',make me want to get up and dance!

This album is absolutely brilliant. Vocally, it is pure genius, and musically it is perfectly timed. I have just bought this album, as a replacement for the one I lost in my mispent teenage times! It`s jst as great as I remember it being (unlike many of my music purchases of the 90`s)
