OK I love Simian Mobile Disco, but I am reviewing them on this album and this album alone. Give this album a full blow 4 would have been over generous this would me that they where only one step off perfection and this album is far from perfect but in no way bad. I absolutely love the opener, Sleep Deprevation is the perfect atmopheric opener to the rest of the album and is in exactly the right place. But I'm glad that they didn't fall into the trap of just recreating this track over and over for the rest of the album. Hustler is a fantastic single and another highlight for me. But there are one or two week moment which just let the album down seeming as if they just needed to fill up time on the CD with underdeveloped ideas. But maybe next ... Read More:

This album launched Britney's career back when she and I were both teenagers and my how things have changed...
Britney Spearheaded the American bubblegum pop movement and made it her own at least here in the UK and fine examples of this are on this CD and the majority of it is very good, if you like your pop manufactured.
Out of the twelve songs on my version of the CD, I'd say that only three of them are a bit rubbish.
"Soda Pop" is the first offender, it never was my favourite song on the album and never will be. The only thing I'd recommend about it is that it doesn't sound like Britney at all. It's a bit reggae ish in comparison to the rest of the album, with it's slick production. Having said that, it does ... Read More:

Ignore the politics of Mark Doyle, Hed Kandi, Fierce Angel, honestly ignore that. The track listing on CD1, the apparently "twisted side of dance" begins with a remix of an Adele track and then a Daniel Beddingfield song. Robin S appears somewhere on one of the other mindless cds yet again with show me love for the 345th time this year.
Nuff said, for those of you with a tenner to spend save it for a kebab, this album is beyond credible and yes, I bought it

It might not be roots, but UB40 has mellow pop reggae down to a T. This hit-packed compilation includes their early ska-based songs King and Food For Thought, plus all their later successes. Most of their biggest hits were covers of older classics, but they always did a good job in the interpretation. Red Red Wine, for example, is absolutely brilliant and the same can be said for Kingston Town, Cherry Oh Baby and I Got You Babe with Chrissie Hynde on guest vocal. I also love the humorous Rat In Mi Kitchen and their excellent interpretation of The Doors’ Light My Fire. Although not completely comprehensive, this compilation offers excellent value for money in that these tracks really were their greatest hits from a 20-year career. There’s not one ... Read More:

What can I say? It's a brilliant album in every way. Sounds just as good today as it did when it was first released.
Love it!

Yes I think it's fare to say that this new Masters series CD from Satoshi Tomiie has done it for me once again. CD one for me was my favourite listen, kicking off with Shur-I-Kan - Letting you down a great sounding house track that really gets you going from the start. Then taking you on a pleasant ride through sound with the likes of Federleicht-on the streets & Dave Brennan's drink deep 2008 & finishing off with the fantastic Dead souls from Mille Caro & Franck Garcia. I found both mixes a pleasant & fascinating listen & would go as far to say that this one from Satoshi Tomiie has got to be one of the best Renaissance compilations I have heard for a long time. A must-have for any Renaissance or house music lovers out there.

Best Christmas album ever this replaces a tape. Although on the CD I've just bought through Amazon Jon Bon Jovi isn't a Back Door Santa, he wishes every day was Christmas!

I have to say that, for a debut album, it's not bad - he's got a few really good tracks in here. Justin's Pop roots was pulled out then replaced with R&B and light hip-hop. Some of the songwriting is downright corny lyrically but several of the songs were well done by the Neptunes and Timbaland, they made this album more than Justin.
The ballads are not that great to me but the dance tracks are well done. The tracks that stand out to me are "Cry Me a River", "Rock Your Body", "Senorita", "Last Night", "Still On My Brain", "What You Got (Oh No)", and "Let's Take a Ride".
Another drawback to this album is Justin Timberlake vocal pitch. In almost every song that he performed and sang, I felt as though he was searching for some form of range within ... Read More:
