Saw these boys perform at the Radio 1 gig in Preston's Moor Park 07, they stole the show. Shakedown is tops in all accounts. Two sterling filled discs of dance, each track maintaining its own recognisable identity, yet all with one thing in common, the ability to make you dance. If you like dance you can't fail but to like this album. Dance music of the moment!

Read the very complimentary reviews & knew of P.V.D's previous and thought I'd give it a crack. - V. disappointed. Disc one is a mess with a mixture of Chill, Trance, Euphoric, Funk & Electro all slapped together with no coherent thought or mixing. Disc 2 has more Trance but again no 'killer tracks'. I'd definately listen to it first b4 purchasing. Don't be fooled by previous reviews.

Just got the album today, me and my son think its great we will be dancing along in the car, excellent cd, one of the best clubland albums Ive heard and got, highly recommended.

i was walking through the streets of a small dutch town (either venlo or eindhoven) at the height of my obsession with this group, full of their music and images of the girls, next to my parents looking for something for my birthday, blissfully unaware that this was out.

Arrival had blown me away and the emotional response was just beginning to dwindle. so imagine hoe i felt as i walked past a record shop with the whole window deicated to this release; choc full of pos. in an instant i knew thats wanted i wanted (fuuny too, i was 13 on friday 13th jan 1978).

As another reviewer said Mariah Carey sure is in a league of her own.
This is a great Album, although I think she has played a little safe after all this time we've been waiting for a new album.
However its got some great tunes and if you like her other albums you should like this too.

To me, this was one of the best albums of 2003 (Speakerboxx/The Love Below won it for me). If you want to listen to hip-hop that steps outside of the box, this is definitely one you will like. While some tracks are better than others, there aren't really any that you will skip over straight away. Many albums have that (Kanye Graduation = Drunk and Hot Girls = Trash) so you've got to appreciate that Jay-Z put some thought into this instead of just filling the gap with generic tracks. Also this album has a HELL of a lot of highlights, including 'Public Service Announcement' (Which was meant to be an INTERLUDE!!!), and of course the well known 'Dirt Off Your Shoulders'. Well, well, well. If it isn't the trio who bounce back and back and back. And with this one, it's a sure dud. Okay, sure, everbody has a personal opinion, but this is worse that High school musical 1&2 (Really awful) put together. The tracks are the same old, same old-with nothing particularly new.
I say we've let them live-now, let's let em die.

i love this cd! normally i'm not one for bassline but i love it!
mainly because my brother's track is on it (Dj Ikon - Warp (CD3)) but i also love some of the more well known songs on it oo.

a really good album and a must buy!

What an opener - listen to 'Get Innocuous' as loud as you can! And the album keeps the standard up throughout - 'Us v them' being another pinnacle. A classic.
