This Cd is well worth buying.
Firstly it is excellent value for a double disc with over 2 and a half hours of music.The sound is superb and the varition is well mixed and suited.
Highlight of this album for me are the haunting and divine Due Tramonti by Ludovico Einaudi (a genius!), a new choir arrangement of Barber's masterpiece Adagio for strings, Chopin's Nocturn Op.72/1 (as featured in 1 of last years best films "The Pianist").
Other highlights come from Arvo Part, Mascagni and Satie.
Featured performers include Lesley Garrett, the Philharmonica Orchestra, Trinity College Choir.
A fantastic album at a fantastic price, well worth getting, putting your feet up and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful music.

I've got to be the biggest Hed Kandi fan as I own nearly all of them! This one is another cracker from the record label! I find that as a DJ these albums are invaluable as all the tunes are the full 12" mixes. No radio edits going on here. A great buy!!

Disco Heaven 01.05: Compiled By Mark Doyle

This is easily the best Disco Heaven album yet by Hed Kandi. As a hardened and veteran clubber (since the '80s) this is a good as it gets. I've managed to get through 2 copies so far, it gets played that much. Disc 1 one gets off to a fab start and as for that cover of 'Could It Be Magic' - I couldn't believe my ears when I first heard it - if only Barry M was that cool!!! Disc 2 is so happy I can't help but smile whenever I play it. The second disc is far away the better of the two and thats saying something!! Some absolute 'hands in the air and love everyone' tracks on this one - a massive hit at my summer Bar-B-Qs this year. I have been disappointed with this Hed Kandi Album. What the people are raving about (other reviewers)boggles the mind. For the few (3) nice tracks on the album (both) it is not worth it at all. I cannot recommend it. The label should spend more time on the music selection than on the album artwork.
