I'm a big fan of the Ministry of Sound's more laid-back collections, and the Chillout series is a great way to be introduced to 'intelligent' artists and styles you won't often hear elsewhere. But this album is a long way short of some of the earlier efforts, and I question whether many of the tracks are Chillout at all.

The best Chillout tracks are a downbeat blend of electronic drum & bass, samples and novelty synthesiser noises with more traditional accoustic instruments and vocals, in just the right proportions to send a mellow ripple through your body. There is almost none of that here.

Ive been a fan of Hed Kandi for a few years now, and this combines a great mixture of tracks. Its nice to hear some old and new tracks, even the older tracks have been remixed to give them a new edge. Its well mixed and well compiled. I would recommend buying this as it is a true classic compilation with a bit of everything. Its one of my favourite Hed Kandi CD's and it goes down a storm when you've been partying all night!!

Probably the best album i've bought in a couple of years! Whether you were a part of the clubbing era that had such character and heart, or your a newcomer who wants to look back, few albums will beat this. With Disc 1 including classic full beat tracks such as The Whistle Song and The Real Thing, you instantly know quality is here. The Real Thing is personally one of my all time favourite club tracks for its lovely rhythm and great vocals, while Blue reminds us of that classic organ sound that made up the begining for trance of the early 90's.

There is not much more i can add to the reviews already given.

Dont be put off by the fact that these cds are just full of remixes of the same few tracks (the range of styles and mixes is truely amazing).

I have been putting of getting this CD for a while now, but bit the bullet today as i love UNKLE and bought it. Rushed home and after one listen wrote my first ever amazon review.

This is one of my best buys of the year (only wish i bought it sooner)

You cant fault this mix at all, disc one is the weaker mix of the two discs. Having said that though it is still better than most out there, it is well mixed and the track selection is spot on! Purple`s money shot and Banco De Gaia`s Obsidian are the best tracks.

Disc two though WOW!!! The best GU mix to date! It has little trippy sounds that somehow when combined with the wonderful basslines just make your eyes glaze over, and you just loose track of time totally!

Cant wait to see the man live!

Now Dance 2001 Vol.1

This album, in terms of dance, has it all...pretty much. The highlight's of the double album are track's from artist's Modjo, Spiller, Bomfunk Mc's, Moby's outstanding 'Honey' and almost all the tracks off cd 2 are listenable especially Planet Perfecto's remix of 'Bullet in the gun' and Marc Et Claude's version of 'I need your lovin'. The only track, for me, they seem to have missed out was 'Zombie Nation' by Kernkraft 400, but apart from this the album is virtually flawless.

An outstanding double cd - the only CD you need to buy if you are a dance music enthusiast.

The Best Chillout Ever

I bought this album for my girlfriend, and for her beauty salon for customers to chill out in, and this is a great album, came 1 day early, was very suprised to see it come through the door so top marks for that!

just now skimming through the album and im liking what i heard, its very relaxing this album, i would high recommend this album to anyone who just wants to basically chill out, and it could even be good for low volume background music when yours gf's round for a romantic meal.. (and we all know what romantic meals finish with...dessert *wink wink* hehe)

but yeah an amazing album, isntvery easy to find a good chillout album, so this is just perfect!
