My least favourite of the DH series but this record is still very very good nonetheless. Takes a while to get going but eventually delivers just what you expect from Disco Heaven - bouncing, funky house anthems.
Particular faves are "Deliver Me" - a male vocal gospel/funk classic and the brilliant "Love Is The Music" - surely one of the most infectious and uplifting dance anthems to ever find its way onto a record. However I agree with an earlier reviewer - "Let the Drums Speak" is pap.
In summary, slightly lacking in the consistency we'd come to expect from the excellent Mark Doyle but well worth the money.

Great idea, executed very well.
Whether it be the the more commercial sounding house of Seamus Haji, the heads down dancefloor inspired sound of Dave Spoon, or the eclectic sounds of Chris Coco, this has many highlights.
One of the best additions to the Sessions series so far.

Unfortunately I surrendered to the only review here and bought this album. I am not saying it's bad - there are some good tracks - but overall not worth buying. Kid Loco chose a difficult way to mix some of the subtle stuff - he just added more beats and messed up the way ambient music works. If I didn't know works like Primal Scream's ECHO DEK or above mentioned K!D Kicks I would give it 4 stars but compared to these two treasures it does not deserve more...

Having giving this album a good deal more listenin gover the summer, I concluded that whilst not the best chillout album ever, it certainly is driftingly beautiful. Whether you've come back from a hard night's clubbing or are just crashing out on your sofa on a hot August afternoon, this CD is blissful and sublime. I prefer the second CD as it is more 'lifted' and 'open'. The tracks just seem to flow and let you fall asleep to beautiful haunting tunes.
CD 1 is by no means dull and is more moving and rhythmic but nevertheless, a compliment to the second.
Apology and at off to MoS. I hope 2004 is even better

I've often reviewed older albums and compared them to the newer ones, and once again, it seems that dance albums from over 7 years ago can still out do todays fancy commercials, and over marketed trash. This was the first Ibiza Annual, and though 2000 was excellent too, this is by far the best, simply because it actually has the sounds of Ibiza without the cheese or eurotrash of pop music.
The classic layout is used - both cd's starting with some funky house, and ending alot more up tempo and up beat. Its great to hear an Annual that actually captures "Ibiza" music, rather than cheesey euro trash as found on later Ibiza annuals after 2001. Burnin' is one of my favourites - a more up-beat version of the original disco tune, and the massive hit ... Read More:

This CD has some good tracks but is pointless for real Cafe del Mar fans - this is just a "best of best of" cd, with tracks from previous compilations.
Save your money and buy the original compilations, which you can pick up cheaper!

A must purchase for anyone who remembers the "Ministry" when dance music was cool!!! This box set comprises of 4 top dj's across 2 cd's and one drum 'n' bass cd. Cd1 "RULIN'" has 12 top tunes mixed superbly by CJ MACKINTOSH and TODD TERRY taking such tunes from Inner City and C&C Music Factory and giving it a "put this on before you go out on a friday night kinda vibe". Cd2 "FRISKY?" has 14 tunes mixed by SEB FONTAINE and JON PLEASED WIMMIN which I found has a slightly more heavier feel and definately has to be played loud!!! with such mixes of Jaydee's "Plastic Dreams" and More Kante's "Yeke Yeke" the pace gets quite frantic and the neighbours will definately be calling the police!!!! Cd3 "LOGICAL PROGRESSION" by LTJ Bukem/MC Conrad ... Read More:

This blissed out mix of downtempo beats is perfect for that mellow evening in front of a roaring fire, or to watch the sunset by. Zimpala's To The bass, Doremifa Girl by Snooze and FAC 15's Stay with Me Till Dawn are the dremiest choice on this release but there is not a bad track in sight. Chillout fans have to own this - and those just getting into the genre should find every justification for building a chillout collection on the back of this album alone. A Hed Kandi stormer once again - but who could expect less from the funkiest label out there.
