AGHHH what happen to "We are the Champions?" If like me you thought this must be a cert on this CD then think again! It's not here and I can't believe it, maybe they are going to stick it on the Asher D greatest hits!

After this substantial blow I settle down a bit to notice a few gems, the classic "Raggamuffin Hip Hop" will bring back many memories of large speaker pumping pure ragga for the London massive. Next comes the stand-out track "London's Finest" a wonderfully constructive tune blending the two styles seemlessly.

There seems to be a lot of filler on the CD, although there is a kind of house remix of "The Crown" which you won't find in many crates! The rest you have to really like Daddy Freddy, tracks like "Respect," ... Read More:

I've had it years and I keep fishing it out - there are some tracks you'll want to join in even if you can't sing - try the car, and be prepared for strange looks. Astonishing, with only two weak tracks.

My brother passed this album on to me and explained that he wasn't at all impressed by it. We both love 70s & early 80s dub. I was a little more patient than him perhaps and gave a good listening. It's good. It's really good. It also will age well, unlike much modern dub. It's different from other productions by S & B. Howie B adds something special. I must confess to not knowing his music. If you are interested in sophisticated modern dub this is a worthwhile album to buy. It's great for driving too.

This pleasant album kicks off with a lovely version of Dreamland and winds its way through bubbly little ditties like Mark My Word, Feel Like Jumping and Melody Life. Her version of Bob Marley's Lonesome Feeling is moving and soulful, as is the uplifting Survival. I've Got To Go Back Home is atypical with its soulful spoken intro and her soaring vocals alternating with slower passages. Together with Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt, Marcia remains among my top 3 Jamaican female vocalists.
