well, quite a few really, but three very good mixes in different ways, and each is noticeably more beefy than the previous disc. Sy and Unknown do a very solid selection that fairly lopes along once it hits its stride. Dougal and Gammer do a very vocal mix, and very bright and cheerful it is. Of COURSE Brisk and Ham come up with something a bit special: loads of their own tunes, plenty of V.A.G.A.B.O.N.D., very reminiscent of the brilliant Hi-Octane Collections. A bit of emotion, a bit of humour and loads of energy.

I've been a fan of Roots Manuva for a while but it only took me one listen to be sure this is the best thing he's ever done. It hasn't been off my stereo since. If you like hip-hop you need this record.

Listening to this cd takes me somewhere very special. It's as if some kind of bliss comes over me and I feel carried away... It's absolutely amazing and I plan to hear other cds by Snatam to see if the effect is the same.

I bought this in a rush and on the basis of the 2 previous glowing reviews. I've only recently started really exploring world music and am always looking for compilation albums that might offer new gems to follow up.
This album just doesn't do the job. Of the people I'd already heard of and styles of music I already knew about, the track selection turned out to be decidedly dodgy. And that really didn't give me much confidence in the rest of the choices. Overall I was completely underwhelmed. This seems to me to be a bland, hastily put together album that jumps on the world music bandwagon without much care or knowledge behind it.

This is by far Richie Spice's best album to date and is an absolute must have for any serious reggae fan. His previous three albums are all good in their own right(I have all 3) but as said, THIS IS HIS BEST!!!!
Release Date September 15, 2008
Although the first two tracks are the highlight of this album, they aren't the only good things here. Lyrics are poingnant and moving. Hey World is a great track. And while i'm not sure it's as good as hist last studio album... it's still better than most other albums out at the moment. if you like Franti - it's a must! Be strong for me, i'lAll Rebel Rockers: +DVDl be strong for you.

I tried very hard to like this album, but I don't. While the musicianship is good, if uninspired, the vocal performances are, by and large, awful. Harrison, Dylan, Russell and Preston never had the greatest of vocal talents anyway, and it isn't until the last tracks ('Something' and 'Bangla Desh') that Harrison finds anything of a voice at all. Starr's contribution is just toe-curlingly awful. And why the bonus track, Dylan's 'Love Minus Zero/No Limit', was left off the original album, only Krishna knows. On this evidence it was easily his strongest performance. An album for fans and completists only I'm afraid.

This is roots harmony at its very best. The Wailing Souls at the top of their game! Though their Studio One offerings take some beating, the vocal subtleties of this Joe Higgs inspired quartet are showcased here with uplifting effect. Self-produced and backed by the likes of Sly Dunbar on drums, Ranchie McLean on bass and a peerless horn-section led by Vin Gordon, Rico Rodriguez and "Deadly" Headly Bennett, this is surely a seminal album. As a vinyl purist it's torture to see the dub vesions on this new CD release that were left off the original Island LP in 1979.
If you love roots rockers and don't already own this, what are you waiting for? Put on "Feel the Spirit", fire one up and get with the Wailing Souls. Brilliant!
