...pumping around your legs and feet that is. Like their first album this is a must have for anyone with an interest in funky Balkan Gypsy music fused with Klezmer, HipHop, Dub, Tango, ...

In a similar entertaining vein of balkan frenzy I would also recommend Remixed by De Amsterdam Klezmer Band and from Shantel: Disko Partizani, Bucovina Club Vol 1 and Vol 2.

This is a rude CD and if you're old enough and were into the early junglist scene then this will take you back. I have several of these tracks on vinyl 12" languishing in my garage (shame on me) but as I no longer have turntables I haven't herard them for years. Well worth the investment especially for Ragga Tip, Love Talk and Holligan 69 being my all time faves.

Buju is masterful on the mic with his rough sounding style and the production is perfect. It's one of the Best reggae album I own that is constantly on rotation when I'm in the mood for this genre. Buju open the album with the brief a cappella psalm, "Shiloh," which is inspirational and extraordinary to hear. On the next two tracks he explodes with sound and feeling with first "Til I'm Laid to Rest," a melody that is intertwines with an homage to Africa and his faith in the Promised Land. This is not an easy straight forward one sitting listen, however, it is undoubtedly exciting, intense, and brilliant.
This is hard ragga, hard dance with a hard urban feel to it, to say it's gritty is to under estimate it. Some of the tracks are almost dreamy dub style, so it's not all hard core in truth. This isn't for easy listening fans (come on all you Coldplay MOR fans), this is for those that love real music, those that love ragga, dance, and just great music.
There are a series of great tracks and performances on this, too many to mention by exception. From first to last it's a great intense listen, and it's not been off my favourites in the last three months since I bought it on risk.
