If the number of times I listen to it each year means anything, "The Best of Blondie" is the best greatest hits CD in my collection. Yes, the New Wave classics like "Dreaming," "Hanging on the Telephone," "One Way Or Another" and "Call Me" are here, but like with most artists the songs I really seem to enjoy are those great songs that never got a lot of air play, like "Atomic," "Sunday Girl" and my personal favorite, "(I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence Dear." Yes, it would be nice to have a bit more representation from the punk stage of vocalist Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein (e.g., "I'm Not Living in the Real World"), but you do get the proto-rap hit "Rapture." What else can I say, except that pretty much everybody I know has this ... Read More:

Diana Ross had not had a big UK hit since 'Love Hangover' in 1976 when this album was recorded. I love it, because it's the album that introduced me to the music of Diana Ross and in time many other Motown legends.
This is not a typical Diana Ross album as there are no traditional ballads. Instead we get a succession of cool grooves from Chic's Edwards and Rogers with Diana's sumptious vocals over the top. Apart from the obvious charms of 'Upside Down' and 'I'm Coming Out' the outstanding tracks are 'Now That You're Gone' and 'Tenderness' (a minor hit in 1981).
This album is equally loved and loathed by Ross fans but whatever your opinion it shows Diana as a serious album artist rather than a singer of hit singles. The deluxe version allows ... Read More:

There are so many FGTH remixes out there that I didn't even know that 808State did a remix of "Two Tribes" or guitar legend Gary Moore played on a remix of "Warriors Of The Wasteland". Both of these tracks appear on these discs but they are not necessarily the highlights.
The "WOTW" Attack Full Mix is a three part remix. The first is the instrumental (play it loud) and the third is Holly Johnson's expertly manipulated vocals layered over pulsating synth drums and screaming rock guitar. The word "sublime" springs to mind. For me, the Broad extended remix of "Rage Hard" is the definitive mix. Peter Rauhofer's Doomsday Club Mix of "Relax" is vastly superior to the annoying Sex mix which is really showing its age.

At long last remastered editions of four of Boney M's fantastic albums with extra tracks.
I first got all of their eight albums from Germany when they were released in 1994.
Oceans Of Fantasy was Boney M's fourth album. It was released in 1979 and contains the hits Gotta Go Home and I'm Born Again and non-UK release El Lute. It also has My Friend Jack which was a UK single in 1980 and the excellent b-side I See A Boat On The River. The only comment here to make is Hooray! Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday their Summer 1979 number three single is not on here.
As well as the four remastered albums released in the UK, there are still four more available but may not be in the UK. There are Boonoonoonoos (1981), 10,000 Light Years (1984), Kalimba De Luna ... Read More:

Cover looks nice... But I was very disapointed by this collection... Back to Love series were never my favourites from the Hed Kandi label - however I admired how unique this series was at releasing hard to find tracks from the 80's, and really did help people to re-discover tracks that they have heard before from somewhere, but were never in the commercial lime light fully - which made the series in itself exhibit some form of unique underground feel which was admirable whether or not you preferred other Hed Kandi genres, because it gave the compilation it's "individuality" which is MISSING a lot in club music these days... Does this Back To Love provide that?? Hell no, of course not, it's a ministry of sound release, therefore has tracks that are, and probably ... Read More:

OK, I'm a bit carried away with my enthusiasm, but this album is jam-packed with a great deal of her earlier work!
I'm listening to it now, it just arrived.... I particularily like Ring of fire, All on a summer's night and She's lost control (this one has fab sound effects - beware of the car accident, especially!) - these 3 tracks are quite rare.
It's well-recorded and the order of the tracks is good. All her famous tracks are here - this CD won't disappoint.
So now I'm thinking: Will Miss Jones Grace us with another "Collection" of her later works, mid '80's to the present? Who knows... after all, this is the game that she perennially plays with us fans!
Lastly, the photos are good and the biography is very accurate.

There are lots of compilations but this is not the artists fault. There is a huge difference between this and all the others. This is album is unique and like no other greatist hits album. This album contains on record and transfered 3 sides of non stop music and one side of extended remixes of One the radio and No more tears of over 11 minutes with Barbra streisand - one of the best diva duets ever and beats all the remakes. This is also written by the guy who gave babs "the main event" and "last dance".
all her hits are cleverly mixed into each other with percussion and music overdubs and even changing of pace. it would be great to see all her 12 versions mixed in like this.
You want a Donna Summer night out then put the record on and dance

This album certainly deserves a place in any soul lovers music collection. Such a distinctive voice and classic tracks, some of my all time favorites.
This album takes me back to the mid 80's when I was a teenager and saw Stephanie Mills on the programme 'Live at the Apollo' singing 'Love like this' and 'I feel Good'. I had the album, but soon realised I was left with only the cover (someone else took a liking to my LP).
I'm so glad to get this album that is now on CD. You should also check-out Melissa Morgan, Melba Moore and Roberta Flack. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Compared to the anonymous looking 'Greatest Hits' albums of recent years, this cd with it's beautiful cover shot and traditional Boney M logo is a masterpiece of marketing. It offers a fine selection of Boney M hits together with 'first time on cd' versions of 'Rasputin' and 'Gadda Da Vida'. A fine introduction to music from Boney Ms glory years!
