right - this is the best! donna summer's voice is one of the greatest on our earth and on this cd, you can hear it! a fantastic live orchestra with big strings. all donna summer songs are playing a little bit faster in this great show - live from los angeles 1976, plus the -my man medley, the way we were and mimis song- (her 1. daughter, with her first austria men: sommer!),and at last - track #17, a studio song - down, deep inside - from the movie -the deep-. this was a real glamor disco show - with all her hits from: love to love you baby - once upon a time to last dance, on this time! so if you like a great voice, a real good orchestra and singers and a great feeling - buy this! close your eyes and think you are there! feel happy! note: the ... This album is fantastic, I can give it enough praise. Yes Spinna's mixing maybe dodgy in places and the scratching misplaced at times, but it all adds to the effect! The tracks are just brilliant, as others have said, you can enjoy them unmixed or blended together. For me personally, I love Spinna's mix, the tracks go well togther and it truly takes you on a soulful funky musical journey. Buy this album and Kenny Dopes equally brilliant Vol.3 and you probably won't need to buy another CD for a very long time. Superb!

Despite being a longtime admirer of Ross's music, I wasn't interested in buying this album when it was first released in the middle 90s because of the Christmas theme. Now I've finally bought it, I can't stop playing some of the songs because Ross sounds at her very best in this semi-classical style. The live cut of Amazing Grace (from her Christmas In Vienna with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras concert, which I've also just got on CD) is powerful stuff. Other highlights, for me at least, are Oh Holy Night and the final number, The Christmas Song, which Ross closes out in her own special, intimate way.

This compilation brings together the best hits of, arguably the best game on the Playstation 2 console. It has almost every genre that was popular during the mid 1980s, as the game is set in this time period. It includes hits from Spandau Ballet, The Pointer Sisters and REO Speedwagon to name a few. Those who are not a fan of the game will also relish the excellent music chioce this CD boxset has to offer, as the music doesn't purely relate to the game. A fantastic compilation for all 80s music lovers and those who are not aware of the music from this time period and lastly, the best music soundtrack to accompany a game, ever!

You often find albums and even compilation albums have some dud on them, but this is what it say, Number 1s there are some really dodgy ones but they made it to the top, this is a brilliant album, and is hours of entertainment! One of my best buys!

This compilation is essential to any dance music/funk/soul collection. Many of the remixes are previously unreleased, and all the tracks have been superbly remastered. If you've found this by accident, count yourself lucky: it's a great document of quality music. Tom Moulton really deserves the fully archived box set treatment; perhaps this set is a prelude to such a wondrous possibility?

This compilation album needs little introduction as it has sold a zillion copies or something ;), and there is a reason for that. Nobody, not even The Beatles have created a finer collection of pop songs. Pop is often sneered at by some hoity toity music lovers, but there is no need. A finely crafted 3 minute pop tune can be just as meaningful and exquisite as any other piece of music. The tunes Bjorn & Benny created will live on forever, and the girls singing stays in your mind so very easily.
For me this is not their ultimate collection, as I liked more of the bitter-sweet songs they did like Eagle and The Day Before You Came. But that's a personal preference. This compilation contains all the biggest hits, including some of the camp/hi-nrg ... Read More:

Initially released in 1976, Marvin was under pressure to come up with the goods after What's Going On in 1970 and and Let's Get It On in 1973. Not being the most prolific of artists at the time [compared to say Stevie Wonder's prodidgious output in the same period] he finally collaborated with Leon Ware who had already written most of the songs [many in conjunction with Diana Ross's brother T-Boy Ross]for his own Musical Massage album ... released a few years later and also worth checking out.
Unlike the classic What's Going On and Let's Get It On, this album is not a concept album as such and could best be described as a love letter to his young sweetheart of the time - Janis Hunter who he met during the Let's Get It On sessions, whilst still married to ... Read More:
