Blue's follow up single, a cover of "Too Close", is a great mix of harmonies and beats. Even though they're covering a well-known song, the guys still add their own vibe to the song. All of the guys sing lead vocals on the track. In my opinion, this track deserved to be at number 1.

Though it's not a normal studio album (and it looks unlikely they will ever produce a studio album) this is nonetheless a much welcomed release from these highly rated electronic producers. A collection of remixes done by the Florida based electronic dance act Rabbit in the Moon of various artists work.
A good collection with highlights including the brilliant collaboration with Humate on 'East' and their stunning remix of Orbital's 'Are We Here?'.
Any fan of Rabbit in the Moon should have this along with dance music fans who want something a bit different.

I have to say I don't quite understand what previous reviewers mean when they say this album mmade them recall their childhoods because for me it had the opposite effect- it made me imagine new times and places, new ways of thinking and opened my eyes to new and completely revolutionary ways of making music. But perhaps it is because both a childlike quality and a sense of ultimate wisdom are captured here. In a way this record defies interpretation, which is why I might be sounding pretty crazy pretty soon if you keep reading. The closest comparison I can make between this and other artists is that it is somewhat reminiscent of Robert Miles' 23am album, as well as Mescalito and with a dash of Air's Moon Safari, but that ... I really wanted to like this album.
I love ELP. I have most of their albums.
I love a really broad range of electronica; from Aphex Twin to Underworld(via Biosphere and NIN).
But, for me, most of this album really just doesn't work.

Hypermodern Jazz 2000.5 is not the brand of electronic maddness that I have become accustomed to loving. This is not the first Alec Empire cd that should be purchased by anyone wanting to get into his brand of originality. This cd is not hard and fast drum n bass but more electronic and rap beat oriented. The cd is not a total loss but definitley not what I was expecting from the producer of "Squeeze the Trigger" and "The Destroyer", two albums that I listen to religiously with hopes of some day only being topped by another definition of what true Drum N Bass should be. If you like hip-hop styled electronica you mighty actually love this album, each song is designed to bring you through an emotional journey through the sounds that still only Alec ... Read More:
