And then Adam F piped up and did not stop, I found this so utterly irritating that I could not even finish listening to it. There are some great beats on here and the transitions are really good, but this mans irritating voice with his monotonous inaudible pointless ramblings destroyed what could have been an enjoyable D'n'B experience.
On the first track he says "how much can you take?", trust me, not much.

For an album that has a dummy on the front, this album is no baby. It contains some of the "coolest" tracks to come out of 1998. There is mixes from the Prodigy, FBSlim, Chemicals, Jungel Brothers et al, and those aren't the good tracks. Anyone who wants to hear some dance music with a hip hop edge, you're in paradise!

This is Mo Wax at it's best. The tracks on this double album provide a kind of ambient backdrop that you will tune in and out of. Along with the companion set, Headz volume 2b, these tunes are a classic addition to any Mo Wax collection.

Simply the best record that Alec Empire has ever produced, as well as one of the first. Combining an analogue feel to a detachment that could only come of this guy's work, it is simply brilliant.
Evidence? I'd advise trying a download of "Civilisation Virus". It is a severely epic and passionate track (13 minutes worth), and it seems to have a sadness about it that even a human voice cannot compare to. Also "The Backside of my Brain" and "The Sun hurts my eyes", that shift through layers of engineered sound and stay with you hours after you hear them. Increditable. Opening with the furious "SuEcide", this IS the best work by Empire ever. It has an inspiring air to it that truely makes it the most ... Read More:

I won't repeat other reviews in describing the nature of the music, which I'm no expert in. However I would thoroughly recommend this album as one to get you started on Squarepusher. I bought Hard Normal Daddy and Ultravisor first and found them harder to get into. Feed Me Weird things is more consistently appealing, with interesting fast jazzy beats and melodies. With the exception of a few seconds of noise somewhere on the album, I would even play it in polite company without fear of "that weird experimental track" having them complain. If you're wondering how to get into this genre of music, go for this album!
