Without doubt THE best music purchase I have ever made.

Plus, London Elektricity will never perform live again, so if you missed it, this is the best you can get to the real thing

p.s You can rip the video onto your ipod, it sounds and looks amazing.

Drum 'n' Bass Arena - the Classics: Mixed By Goldie

If you've seen Goldie live then you'll understand his mixing skills (and most notably his ability to beatmatch) can often be described as patchy, but I find there are often those few inspired moments where it just seems to work for me. This certainly applies to this mix to some degree.
For starters, noone can discount the quality selection of dnb classics on offer here, especially the blend of old and new. I found disc 1 flowed quite nicely, but less so can be said about much of disc 2 which I found jarring and on the amateurish side at times (although it picks up towards the end).
The old Goldie magic is there in places, but most of the time I don't think his mixing comes across particulary well. It seemed little thought or planning ... Read More:

I sometimes feel that when an artist releases a "Best Of..." album, it tends to signify the end of their carreer. I hope this is not the case for Lamb because they clearly have more to offer. I purchased this purely for the DVD, I was curious to see what they looked like and what sort of videos they produced for those gorgeous tracks. I was not dissapointed, the videos are as strange and entertaining as the music may suggest. Ranging from the surreal to the sublime, the videos have the appearance of high production values and artistic merit to them. Very classy. As for the tracks... I've got them all on the other Lamb CD's but it's nice I suppose to have the "Best" ones all together on a single disc.

Yeah this CD is really bloody good 4 those that know the true junglist vibe... This CD is a real 'must-buy' for those original jungle heads out there!

The selection of tunes on this CD are 'spot-on' and really catch the mood and atmosphere that real junglists only know, but if you like jungle anyway this brings out the tunes that maybe 'present' jungle heads don't know about.

This really is a CD which actually contains proper original junglist vibes, the real deal in the original jungle sound.

Set It Off

For anyone looking to buy this album, you should not take any notice of Mr Whoodini, who rates Midnight as a great D&B release. I know Shy has sold out a bit with this album, and i'm glad, its about time the man made some money in this game. I've been listining to Shy for 12 years and this is by far his best work. If you consider MR WHOODINI put Pandora's Box as one of his favorite Shy tunes then I think you can see this guy doesn't really know a thing about what Shy does, when you consider, The Message, Chopper, This Style, Wolf etc etc: Shy is one of the top producers in jungle, and I don't just recommend this to hardcore fans, I think its good for everyone.
So in summary: If you want to listen to some clever and well designed D&B buy this album, but ... Read More:
