A great value box of three discs, each housed within a card sleeve, within a hardwearing gloss card box. Compact sleeve notes on each card sleeve, details some tracks, but not all, on each disc. The years split over the disc are noted. As for the music, the sound quality is suprisingly good. The tracks are excellent, with many not being released on album before. Buy if you like good music, buy NOW if you like reggae, doesn't come much better. Outstanding favourites of mine are Sweet Like Candy, Medicine Man, Doctor Seaton and Great Great Great [Alternate Version], but they are all fantasic!

I have listened to many albums but this one stays at the top. Maybe I just love those ones that have soul - I want to get scared, I want to smile, cry.... I have recently listened to Fourtet - Pause and even though a great piece of work I miss the subtleness that goes with Echo Dek. It's a joy to lie down and just listen. It's multilayered, emotional, great and I love it. Buy it. It's worth.

I believe this was U-Roy's 1st and best Album on Virgin Subsidiary Front Line lable and it is a GEM!! The Originator is sharp, direct, cool and Baaaad!!
A must have for U-Roy or Toasting fanantics.

What you have here is Glen Brown produced tracks revamped by the Dub Master. Just like eating mums rice/peas/chicken on sunday washed down with a cold strong rum punch - HEAVEN!!
I was fortunate to purchase the 2 Glen Brown and friends cd's and then got this CD.
As per usual with Tubbs at the control, outstanding and a major must have for any DUB FANATIC.

I've had this CD for a month or so, and it has taken a few listenings to realise how fantastic it is. I found it not as immediately accessible as Little Axe's earlier work at first, but now I think it is the best thing Skip McDonald has done so far. Part of that comes from his collaborators - check out in particular "Go Away Devil" - an extraordinary fusion of blues and dub with Junior Delgado; and "All In The Same Boat" - lyrics and singing by Chris Difford (of Squeeze, for those of you old enough to remember). Pure poetry.

So, music fans, give it a few listens before making a judgement.

I bought this cd thinking it was going to be a bit of ambient dub but was taken totaly by suprise. The title is a bit deceptive,it is much more than that,there are some great songs and great atmospheres .It really is a very rounded album sort of old school meets new school,both dancey and deep. Styles swing from rap to roots with some great chilled out instrumentals. And then there is the cookbook.As well as being a source for some great Jamaican recipes the illustations make it a little work of art.all this at this price..highly recomended
