A stunning new album!! I got into The Black Seeds following the discovery of Fat Freddys Drop and this is their best work IMHO.

Great tunes and all that I love in reggae and more. They sound tight and although a couple of the tracks sound a little laboured I think this is more the production than a lack of fluidity. There is even a hint of Radiohead in the vocals from time to time, but despite that (I hate Radiohead) the vocals soar.

Give this a go if you have not listened to them before and if you have, you'll love it!

As an adult it's a change to listen to something that's slightly different from your normal kids music but as a reggae fan its's utter tosh. There are far far better tracks out there. Save your money & get your kids to listen to some proper music.I can't believe that some of the biggest names in reggae stooped so low

If you love dennis brown then look no further than this excellent trojan records release is crammed full of the crown princes finest moments.Every track is from the top drawer and many styles of reggae are featured of which dennis adapts to with ease.The sound quality is also very good and the whole package is incredibly good value for money this cd is a real treat for all you dennis brown fans out there.

This Album IS amazing. Changing pace but never loosing atmosphere. Jolting through genres but never loosing integrity. It is simply blinding. Dillinger are currently the most interesting and original band around. The songs convert to the live stage even better than I could have hoped. Actually becoming alive.
As with all classic music, Ire Works will never grow old. The general public will figure it out in time.


It pisses all over Miss Machine, which was largely overated.

Friends who grew up in the multicultural scene that was Cardiff Docks say that this cd is almost the soundtrack of their youth. There are some real gems on this collection & the fact that the sound quality is on par with the original releases only serves to add to the authenticity.

If you have been a long term roots reggae fan like me, you will know the vast array of material available in the market place doesn't always match the billing. This box set however, does exactly what it says on the tin and more.

If you like your reggae crackly and rare, this is the one for you. New Town Sound limited steal the show with the bassiest, gruffest tune you will ever hear, however, most tracks on each of the 3 cds are classic rarities.

Buy it, and don't look back, this is the real deal for those like the revival style.
