This set of CDs comes from Italy - and typically of the Gold Collection series there are no liner notes: the booklet simply lists the tunes as they appear on the case and the cardboard slip-cover but with the addition of the writers' names and duration of each track.
There are 40 tracks altogether (although not all of them are listed above) and a total of just over 2 hours' playing time.
The lack of notes is frustrating; the many vocalists are not identified (although Bing Crosby is instantly recognisable), none of the musicians are named, or the date of recording.
The sound quality varies. Many of the (presumably) earlier tracks are muffled, some sound as if they are being played through a gramophone horn, and several have ... Read More:
