ALTHOUGH I AM A HUGE JIGGA FAN I HAD SERIOUS DOUBTS ABOUT WHETHER THIS WOULD DELIVER THE SAME QUALITY AS PREVIOUS AND PRESENT ALBUMS. HOWEVER AFTER HEARING THE FIRST COUPLE OF TRACKS THESE QUERRIES WERE BANISHED AS THIS ALBUM IS A CRACKER WITH GREAT BEATS, RHYMES AND VERSUS FROM OTHER ROCAFELLA MEMBERS.

Great to see so many other reviewers echoing what I'm feeling about this record - its absolute quality!

Love the flow of it, every track is focussed and is a real pleasure to listen to - whilst most people have got/ heard 3 Feet High (and don't get me wrong it's a great album), far less people have heard Stakes is High and its a shame because it shows how much De La Have evolved as a group...

If you don't have it - buy it now! Then drop a review on Amazon telling everyone else how great it is!

White Trash Beautiful

I have absolutely loved Everlast right from the beginning so maybe I'm biased towards the older albums like "whitey ford sings the blues" which could be why I only gave it 4 *s ...WHO CARES?...
I'm listening to this album right now and I wouldn't change it if my house was burning down around my ears. I would definately recommend this to all lyric lovers.


P.s. got a sub in your car boot? then turn up track 4- Sleeping alone...

Gravediggaz have founded a new style of hip-hop. The production of rzarector (rza) and the undertaker (prince paul) is appropriately gruesome. This is just so different to any other cd i own, listening to it you enter the scary but fascinating world of the gravediggaz. Whoever's on the mic does a good job, i was particularly impressed by the Grym Reaper though.

Every track belongs as much to the production team as it does to Buckshot; domineering beats and Liquid Swords-level darkness propel the album much further than it should realistically go. This is what The Infamous wanted to be. Monotonous as hell but the whole thing screams "classic!"

Im predominantly a Metal fan but as that includes the likes of Biohazard and Suicidal Tendencies i am open to Rap if its of a rougher nature ie Fort Minor, Silver Bullet, Public Enemy, NWA etc.
This is definiteley a release with that crossover appeal with its hard assed lyrics dealing with the darker side of street life and DMX's razor blade vocals. This guy is to Rap what AC/DC's Brian Johnson is to Rock!
Low, gravelly and will strip your wallpaper. The production is state of the art with effective instrumentation, clever samples and snippets of 70' soul classics in between tracks. Producer and rapper RZA told a Danish interviewer that the album he's the most proud of is this one, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)", and it is hard to disagree with him.
What is there to say about such an essential hip hop album that hasn't been said? One classic track leads to another on this 1993 release, and today, in the year of 2008, the price is so low there are no excuses on not owning it. Even if you hate hip hop, this record may be the one to start out with, combining primarily simple and catchy beats with the funny, yet hardcore, lyrical masterpieces each member presents us with in each track.

Big Puns debut album capital punishment is probably one of the best hip hop albums ever and most certaintly one of the most underrated albums ever! this album has no weak songs with all the songs packed out with brilliant lyrics and good beats. it is also has great guest appearances from artists such as black thought, prodigy, inspectah deck, busta rhymes, noreaga and wycleaf aswel as the terror squad. not to commercial but not to underground capital punishment has just the right blend that proved puns claim 'latin goin plaitinum was destined to happen'

people often forget about big pun and to an extent big l but if these rappers had released further LPs they would most certaintly be challenging pac and biggie for the best rappers of all time!

G.O.A.T. - The Greatest Of All Time

I've always liked LL but for some reason i had never got round 2 buyin this 1. I had 5 others though. I decided to buy this cuz its him and the cover looked wicked. It turned out just as good as his others. I took a bit of getting used to the sounds but it was quality afta 2 full listens. My favourite tunes are 'LL Cool J','Homocide','The G.O.A.T' and 'Can't think'.
This album still looks and sounds as good as it did 4 years ago.

I would well recommend buyin this album (even if its quite expensive).
