This was a great concert to listen to, Jay-Z was amazing, the Roots held it together. Its a shame that this very well shot and lit concert isn't available. I could have sworn that it was originally filmed in HD. Hope Jay-Z and MTV will release it in the near future.

Arguably one of the bets hip hop album one can ask for. He flows, he rhymes, he spits, he does it all, can't go wrong with Erick Sermon's production. Listen to KrissKross remix tonite's de nite ft Redman, the man is a classic rapper, he gives you the flow that combines with the beat. If you dont Pick it up, go Smoke Buddha, then you will definitely love this album.

BBack in 1992 when this CD was released much to the annoyance of the Hip Hop DJ's because the vinyl was really hard to get hold of. Despite our resistance to change the album itself was slammin'. Of course "Sally" was a given but tracks like "I'm Outta Here" & "*!*! What You Heard" to me are what made this CD one of my personal favourite even to this day. Lyrically this stands head & shoulders over some of the present contemporary rappers who mumble their way through an album and can only excel but spouting how much bling/girl/cash they have & how many caps they put in an a** on a daily basis. It was a good buy back then, it's a great buy now. Real Hip Hop.

First introduced to the hip-hop nation on Gang Starr's "Speak Ya Clout", Jeru agains hooks up with DJ Premier for his debut album. This album is fantastic Premier creates beats perfectly suited for Jeru's wordy intellectual rhymes, the huge single "Come Clean" dominates this album, but every other track is equally as good. My personal favourite being "Jungle Music" in which Jeru discusses the situation of rap music in the United States. Whilst I prefer his second album, most would argue that this is his best work, and to be honest it is tough too choose (buy both then you wont have too! lol). It's got Jeru and it's got Premo, it was never going to be bad was it, and even now over ten years later, the album still slams from start to finish.

Really, really liking this latest release from Busta, its his most well crafted, well rounded album in the past few years at least. Dont let the second single "Love my Chick" put you off though, that song was cheesy as hell. The rest of the album is much, much better. Also this album has sick beats, and Bustas flow sits perfectly on Dre's productions...

Well well well Puff Daddy/P Diddy/Sean Combs has sprinkled his touch over these songs and is annoucing them on the album We Invented The Remix. I bought this cd about a year ago when I was on holiday. There are no absolute classic songs on this album. It feels like it was rushed out onto the shevles as quickly as possible just so Bad Boy Records could add some more dough to their already filled wallets. To be honest though I was never really into Puffy or many of his Bad Boy collegues (except for Notorious B.I.G) so maybe thats why I feel it's lacking in some departments. If you are a devoted Puffy and Bad Boy fan add it to your collection but if you are into more hardcore rap and real artists like 2pac,Biggie and Big L then i suggest you leave this on the shelves ya feel me ... This is another classic by Gangstarr, once again they deliver in full with tight lyrics and some of the dopest beats ever heard, trust me this album is BANGIN Peace out
Release Date November 05, 2001
I gotta say this album will appeal to those who enjoy listening to rap records on the radio and maybe slightly more commercial hip hop. If for example you like DMX, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule and more recent Wu tang (such as their Gravel Pit single), then you will probably like this. However, if you prefer to listen to lyricists or innovators such as Common, Mos Def or Tribe Called Quest etc. you may find this album lacks depth but it's definitely worth looking at since you might like it anyway.
Ultimately, the album has decent beats and is good for a listen once in a while, but lacks lyrical depth and originality so you will not be playing it repeatedly over long periods. Standout tracks are Music, The Sermon, and all the Keith Murray cameos.
