A cd of lullabies that your child is going to enjoy & relax to each night but isn't going to make you jump out the window is a tough challenge. Sophie Barker has done a really good job with this collection. I had to throw away the cd I used with my son but I'm now 18 months into listening to this every day & still smiling.
I would recommend it

A CD that has so much beauty it moves you from beginning to end. His voice portrays so much emotion that you don't just appreciate the sound, you feel every note that he sings.

There are some CDs that are simply labelled "mood music", and this for me is one that I file under such a category. Every time I listen it lifts me and transports me to places only I can go to. Somewhere that escapes the modern world.

The choice of arias is perfect. Many of which I was unfamiliar with. However, I have since introduced this CD to a number of people, many who listen to an entirely different genre of music; nearly all have been captivated by it.

All I can say is buy it and soak up the rich fare on offer.

..is the only word for this album. I have never heard such a pure voice - you may have heard the songs before but you have never heard them sung like this. Eva's voice was unique - how very sad that the only video in existence of her singing is some amatuer footage taken at Blues Alley - where some of these tracks were recorded. If you can listen to "Autumn Leaves" without a lump in your throat - then you have no soul my friend.

This does not do it for me at all. It is like weird synth music with touch of 70's porn feel and wierd oriental mix that is to fast for relaxation adn has loud bongs and sythn parts which would wake you up if lsitening to whilst having a therapy treatment. I trieed to be objective and did listen to it as whole adn hated it if honest not my thing and I don't feel remotely relaxing more elevator music that is old fashion and not wholesome holistic. I would actually send it back as not worth the money and dissappointed. Some may like it and find it inoffensive but I just don't find it what I wanted and not to my taste at all. This album, judging from the other comments is clearly ideally suited to dancers who want to use it to dance to... Fair enough, with a title like "Strictly Come Dancing" - that's fair enough. But...

One of the big attraction for me of "Strictly" is the fine orchestra and singers performing loungy versions of popular tunes, along with some traditional dance music - this album looked great (and I didn't look carefully enough) until I found that the majority of the songs were performed by the great Bruce Forsyth; don't get me wrong - I like Bruce, he's come back better than ever and a few songs from him would be great, but he just can't carry the album.

Bottom line up front, this is one of the best John Williams compilations available. It has not only memorable movie soundtrack songs, but also his music from the Olympics. While other John Williams music CDs have lots of songs, this one has some of the best variety compared to others.

Words fail me. Listen to William Shatner decaliming Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and marvel if you are on a bad acid trip yourself. Shatner is...well...let's say special. Nimoy on the other hand actually sings reasonably well, sometimes using his Spock alter ego. Truly a life changing experience.
