If you can listen to this album without smiling, you have no soul. My favourite tracks are Get A Move On, Midnight Feast, Honeydew, and Fish, but they're all great :-)

If you are going to Ibiza for the first time this year or even if you are a seasoned veteran, I cannot recommend this CD highly enough to get you right into the authentic balearic mood. Lemon Jelly's Fred Deakin has compiled a mix that truly represents the spirit of Ibiza better than any Ministry of Sound or generic Ibiza Chillout compilation ever could. In fact, I haven't heard a mix that reminds me so much of the island since Jose Padilla's legendary Cafe Del Mar series.
CD1 is house but you'll find no funky/electro commercial nonsense here. If you have had the pleasure to hear Jon Sa Trinxa play at his famous namesake bar on Ses Salinas beach you'll have a good idea of what kind of house is on offer here. Down tempo, low slung grooves ... Read More:

I probably should have done this review earlier, but it just seems the right time to get people to listen to properly GOOD music (dance music seems to have gone down the drain a bit).
Josh Davis has come up with another winner here, in a sense that this album is quite removed from Endtroducing. As reviewers have said already (and i agree), this is a more "song"-orientated album, allowing you to skip to a favourite song, whereas endtroducing was more an album to listen through in one go.
The reason i give it 4 (but 4 1/2 in my heart), is because of the two dud tracks slap bang in the middle of the album (namely 'Right thing' and' Monosylabik'). Definitely not DJ Shadow quality.
This shouldn't detract anyone from the rest of the album though, as ... Read More:
This shows a much darker, more foreboding side to TD's work of the period. It's interesting to hear shorter pieces too, which works well for me. The style is very much in keeping with "Stratosfear" and also "Encore" and, listening to it again, I think it's rather better than both......
I'd also like to echo the question What of the "other" 45 minutes they recorded for this film? Is it worth releasing? Even if it's more of the same, or the existing tracks expanded I'd buy it...

[...]Seriously though, if you are a fan of Black Cherry and/or Felt Mountain (or even Goldfrapps latest offerings on Supernature) you will surely love this DVD.
A good handful of the tracks are previously unreleased and make the DVD worth the money just for that, but when you take into account that it's a double disk affair then how can you say no!? :)
From the idyllic tranquility of utopia and lovely head, to the rock chic stomping that can only be found with train and strict machine when performed live, this is by far the best live act I have seen in recent years.

Take good string/piano dominated classical music, make it moody & dramatic. Now sprinkle with just a hint of the more contemporary elements of the likes of Massive attack and drift off in to outerspace. In fact forget what I've just said, it's not doing the man enough justice! He is pure genius.

I am extremely impressed with this album, and Bjork fully deserved much success with it. The tracks 'army of me,' 'isobel', 'possibly maybe' and 'hyperballad' are real treasures. My favourite song on the album definately has to be hyperballad, it is a beautiful sound!
I even like the much maligned 'Oh its so quiet'. I think a lot of the negativity towards this song comes about because Bjork herself isnt keen on it, and because many other people in the general public dont!

Beth Orton's official debut was a milestone in music especially at the time of it's release we saw britpop and dance music dominated the charts,Beth opted for a more Folk/Eletronica feel for he album."Trailer Park" is one of those brilliantly crafted british albums that makes you feel proud of our music scene.
1.She Cries Your Name - One of her most known songs although not making a big splash when it was first released it has a more cult status today much like the album. The song is a very chilled out song but with a sense of sadness and fragilty mostly from the tone and utter gorgeousness of Orton's voice. The subtle strings and the gentle guitar riff backed up by the almost sonar-like bleeps throughout the song just give it that bit more of a 'chilling' feel, very atmospheric. 10/10
