As with a good wine ageing well so this album from 1999 is tasting just great to me having stumbled across it in a sale only 9 years later! The Thievery Corporation excel in blending together so many 'world music' sounds so seamlessly over laid back trippy beats and this offering is just perfect. Its packed with so many good vibes you could confidently leave the whole 60 minutes worth on for the chillout phase of any cool party. Its perfect for any time of day really!

UK dancepop duo Moloko are in fine form in "Things to Make And Do," their third blend of acid jazz and trippy electronica. The talented Roisin Murphy and Mark Brydon create a charmingly erratic dance album that sounds like nothing else, yet never fails to draw you in.

It opens with a peculiar piano solo, before kicking into the sexy sax-keyboard of "Pure Pleasure Seeker," and the ominously trippy "Absent Minded Friends." A darker note enters with songs like "Being Is Bewildering," which is technically a more "normal" song, a slow and rather melancholy song based on acoustic guitar and organ. Same with the lower-key pop song "The Time is Now."

Not your run of the mill money spinner from the record agencies, this album really actually tries to "chill" you out, I have a lot of great memories to some of the tracks on this album so i just had to buy it again after the first one was accidently killed! Bearing in mind i dont usually BUY albums, this should be explanation enough!! well worth buying by anyone who knows a good chill out album when they hear one, Happy Listening.

I hadn't really heard any of Air's previous work before I watched 'The Virgin Suicides' but after hearing the haunting soundtrack and the eerie melodies that were so fitting to the film I just had to go out and buy this. It is captivating within itself and is an album that truly makes you think. As a soundtrack it works very well as it is filled with haunting tracks that just make you want to listen again and again.

It will take you back to poignant times in your life and really make you think. I find the tracks so haunting and deep that while listening to them you can really reflect on your emotions and feelings. It is wonderful to have a WHOLE listenable album of amazingly well crafted, chilled, sophisticated music by one group.

I just love this album, Lebanese Blonde is one of the best chill out tunes of all time but there are some other truly great tracks on there.

Come With Us is patchily brilliant, but sounds a world away from 1999's Surrender. This is not to say that Tom and Ed should not stretch new boundaries, but the album sounds incomplete and unfocused, a weakness which plagued 2005's Push The Button. The stomping title track, with acid loops, vocoder vocals, and eclectic beats, is classic Chemicals, and Star Guitar is one of their finest achievements. Galaxy Bounce does bounce, and Hoops contains a terrific My Bloody Valentine guitar within a track that accomplishes everything. Yet from here, the album struggles, with the messy "My Elastic Eye", and the meandering "Pioneer Skies".
