This is a great album for those who don't like the old carrols! This album has it all, I mean I just listened to it all christmas and I got myself in a great mood for the holidays!!!
Release Date October 25, 2004
For a Christmas album this compilaion is decent, with no standout tracks (Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas is by far the best track on this C.D) and mediocre entries by Andy Williams this album will by no means jollify your Christmas. It chugs along nicely at its own pace but is not a contender for that all elusive Christmas stocking.

If this was a football match then the score would probably be 4-2 to MercyMe vs. traditional Christmas songs.
By that I mean some don't work, but most are great reworkings, very true to the MercyMe sound. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is a standout with great orchestration and choir - and no, there is nothing church-like or reverent about either.
I can't imagine anyone buying this who has not already got at least one MercyMe CD so the sound will be familiar, but it is a bit of a shock to hear it applied to such well known and well worn classics as Silent Night.
But it works. This is first and foremost a MercyMe album; it just happens that the tunes are Christmas themed.

Living abroad, I wanted to make sure that our son wouldn't miss out on all the Christmas build up that we have in the UK (carols etc) so I bought this CD/DVD. The CD compilation is very festive and quite fun to have on in the car or even in the lounge sometimes, I could have done without a few of the more "poppy" Christmas songs that remind me more of a bad shopping day on the run up to Christmas or even November... (Slade style etc)
I found the DVD to be of exceedingly low quality. It has a very "home video" feel about it particularly in the action songs which are uninspired to say the least - I find myself prancing around our lounge with much more vigour that the lady on the vid or the children who seem very half hearted about this ...
