I can't imagine anyone buying this who has not already got at least one MercyMe CD so the sound will be familiar, but it is a bit of a shock to hear it applied to such well known and well worn classics as Silent Night. But it works. This is first and foremost a MercyMe album; it just happens that the tunes are Christmas themed. |

My First Christmas Album: +DVDCD-Charts > Music > General by: Various Artists Release Date November 28, 2005 Living abroad, I wanted to make sure that our son wouldn't miss out on all the Christmas build up that we have in the UK (carols etc) so I bought this CD/DVD. The CD compilation is very festive and quite fun to have on in the car or even in the lounge sometimes, I could have done without a few of the more "poppy" Christmas songs that remind me more of a bad shopping day on the run up to Christmas or even November... (Slade style etc) I found the DVD to be of exceedingly low quality. It has a very "home video" feel about it particularly in the action songs which are uninspired to say the least - I find myself prancing around our lounge with much more vigour that the lady on the vid or the children who seem very half hearted about this ...
