I bought this album ages ago and still love listening to it. The opening track is a instrumental cover of Jimmy Cliff's Many rivers to cross and it's sublime. There's no hammering of keys throughout - it's all very delicate but better for it. Recommended.

I agree with the Amazon reviewer that this is one of Albert's best - some great songs, a great band, Albert's great soul-blues voice, and, of course, his guitar tone like breaking glass - one of the greatest, and also most overlooked electric blues guitarists. 'Snatchin' it back' is worth the price alone, but the rest of the songs are nearly as good.

Surrounded by a host of Nashville's finest muso's (Hargus "Pig" Robbins , Sam Bush & John Hartford to name only 3), this rate's as ANOTHER Silverstein classic and his last "serious" musical output prior to concentrating on his much acclaimed and highly successful children's narratives - tho' these too usually had a bizzaar or off-center twist in the tale ! His quirky , wry and often politically incorrect humour shines through again - as does his passion , pain and emotions . Such a multi-talented man , now sadly departed , his albums have been too hard to find (in the UK at least) for far too long .
