It had to happen. With this album Robert Smith's seemingly eternal muse just quivered, coughed out it's lungs and died.
Oh, it's dull. Tired and boring and lacking one shred of interest. It doesn't even really sound like the Cure. I don't even care why it's so bad. Don't waste your money here. God, it's just so awful.
Release Date September 15, 2003
On a scale of 1 to 10 this album is a ten. It has no filler or dull tracks, although it is brilliant I dont always think it is good to have all of a bands best songs on one cd! why? Because if a band dont release a greatest hits album ( The Cure have already released a 'singles' album) you would have to buy their discography to get the good tracks, so my opinion is that greatest hits albums can be a gift and a curse, but this one definately a gift (especially the bonus acoustics cd)!!

Classic album - a landmark of Progressive/Death/Metal/Rock!
I have every album since 1999's Still Life and including Watershed - this for me is THE best of them all; production, performance and especially the songwriting. For me, this is the Prog Metal album that I had been waiting for since Master Of Puppets, WAY back in 1986!
It's dark, brooding, melancholic and very, very heavy. Yet it's also extremeley melodic, highly technical and haunting at times.
Vocals range from perfect, soulful clean textures to full on brutal Death growls, then there are the stunning riffs and emotive solos, bass lines that would please Cliff Burton looking down, and some of the most inventive double bass drums you will ever hear! The keyboard work is awesome ... Read More:

Siouxsie and the Banshees were always one of the most enigmatic bands to come out of the punk movement. They were about the last of the London bands to get a record deal, and they only really stayed with the punk theme for the first 2 albums.
This isn't quite the classic that 'Once Upon a Time' was, but it still has some great tracks on it. From the shoe-staring deliberate 'Melt' through the studio-perfect 'Cities in Dust' and on to the fantastic dance-beats of 'Kiss them for Me' this album shows a band evolving at a rate that few others could match.
There are a couple of down points though, like the over-orchestrated 'Dazzle' and a couple of other weak tracks, but overall a damn-good album.

If you are a music fan buy The Black Album. To me its still the best album in my record collection which stetches back over 3 decades.
Still play it regularly despite owning it since release.
the Damned are still touring, go and seen them they are a class act.
Release Date July 23, 2007
Originally put off by the idea that the theme of the album was the story of the Vikings finding Newfoundland, I now have to admit to being way off the mark. This album is just beautiful with both haunting melodies and rip roaring loud tracks. Even the growls are moderate and appropriate. It's hard to identify any weak links, the tracks alternate between tempo's and all are beautiful. My favourites inlcude the quiet little ballad Leaves Eyes and the upbeat Solemn Seas. When I check my favourites played on my ipod this album is right up there with Within Temptation's Silent Force and Tristania's Illumination.Go buy them all.......
Release Date October 27, 1997
Pounding drums together with those pulsating vocals showcase this vastly underrated siouxsie/creatures sound, now quarter of a century old. 'A betsuary of' is mainly featuring the 'Feast' recordings that took place in Hawaii and includes the hard beats and delightful tunes of'Ice House,''Dancing on glass,' and the chanting of 'Festival of Colours.' Highly atmospheric throughout, and utilising local choirs and musicianship, this c.d. demonstrates an established act not afraid to do something fresh and completely apart from their previous work. More accessable hit single 'Right Now' is also inluded here, but it's the voice like no other that makes this c.d really work.

I have searched for many good symphonic, and gothic metal bands, but have never found one better than Within Temptation.
This being their first and most original album. 'Tis a shame, as some have stated, that WT decided to can the death growls, but they are extremely common among goth metal music. In fact, they don't even need to use them. And the last thing WT is that they are commercialised.
This album has some very unique songs, each with a very different mood and emotion to it. Say, Pearls of Light is a blissful song. And Deep Within on the other hand is aggressive and angry but also calm in it's pulse. I would definitely recommend this!
Release Date February 25, 2008
The song 'Butterfly on a wheel' is my top ten all times favourite. The album is well produced with many great tracks. However, i am a bit disappoint for this remaster that they don't include 'Butterfly on a wheel (Magnificent Mix)' with 10 minutes long.
Release Date January 10, 2005
Absolute classic the cure. Although i prefer The Cure's more darker music, this album is excellent as a first time purchase for any newcomer to the Cure's music. It contains aspects (although not always the best aspecst) of the cure's albums from 1987-1997, and each song is a classic, including the only New addition 'wrong number'.If you're wanting a cure album, but you're not that familiar, buy this album!
