This is a brilliant album from one of the most talented rhythm and blues jazzy soulful singers ever. He sings each song with so much feeling that I get chills every time I listen to his music.
This album gives us his duets "Yah Mo B There" with the wonderful James Ingram, "Ever Changing Times" with Aretha Franklin and the heart rending "On My Own" with Patti Labelle as well as the superb solo's "No Looking Back", "Sweet Freedom" and "I Keep Forgettin".
Of course the Best of Michael McDonald would have to include his hits from the Doobie Brothers especially "Takin' It to the Streets" my personal favourite.
Buy this if you're a fan of cool soulful sophisticated music you'll not be disappointed.

This is George Michael pre solo stuff. It is a really good album but I don't like the order the tracks are in a small point I know but sometimes I can't be bothered reprogramming C.D.'s.I've given it 4 stars because they have left out some great tracks from the albums" The FINAL" and the first album. But a must for al George Michael fans and admirers

Catching up on some old favourites, I pulled this album out of the drawer and was instantly reminded of one of the few bands who kept music alive for me through the otherwise barren nineties. By all means get the albums - all great, but one cannot quibble about the standard of track on here, every one memorable (OK, apart from the Scotland world cup song "Don't come home too soon" - off course we did!), every one melodic, bitter sweet expertly played and sung - my god I miss these boys. I am reminded of the story (perhaps apocryphal - who knows?) of one of the reasons that they didn't sell as many records as they might because a famous national record store filed the band under "A" for Amitri, ie Del (first name) Amitri (Surname) Solo Artiste! ... After countless Benatar compilations, the job has finally been done correctly. The tracklisting is almost perfect, and I can only think of one single missing (Don't Walk Away) but what is more important is the re-mastering. It is a pleasure to listen to. If you do not own any Benatar compilations, look no further ... this is the definitive collection despite it missing the abovementioned single. Other compilations have more than one missing track.

I ordered this cd over Visage's first album "Visage" for one reason: I thought the version of "Fade To Grey" included here was the "extended version".. as stated by the first reviewer here "A Customer". Be in no doubt.. the version here is the REGULAR version we all probably have elsewhere. How disappointing as I thought finally I was getting the 6 minute Dance Mix. (I've also seen this tracklisted elsewhere on other sites). This time the tracklisting provided here by Amazon is absolutely accurate. So.. yes Visage's "Best Of.." but NO EXTENDED "FADE TO GREY" on this disc.

This album starts, aptly enough, with 'Start Me Up', the song which the Rolling Stones sold to Microsoft in order to keep Keith Richards in drug money. It is a mediocre slice of radio-friendly rock, and easily one of the most underwhelming songs the Rolling Stones have ever released.
'Brown Sugar' sounds like what it is: a completely unashamed rip-off of Rhythm and Blues which was pioneered and perfected by far superior black musicians, whilst 'Harlem Shuffle', originally recorded by Bob and Earl is a tragic and cruel massacre to rival anything planned by Pol Pot or Saddam Hussein. Please just skip it, and listen to the original instead, for your own sakes.
This theme of pilfering black culture leads us nicely onto 'It Only ... Read More:

You can't complain about the music on here, but they could have been slightly more adventurous in the track listing. Quality tracks like Scandal, Princes Of The Universe and Las Palabras De Amor are missing, replaced by poor tracks like The Miracle (embarrassing lyrics) and I'm Going Slightly Mad (mmm - poor). Also, they have edited the album version of Who Wants To Live Forever when they could have just used the single version.
Still, with classics like One Vision, Radio Ga Ga, I Want It All and A King Of Magic all on here you can't complain too much.
