As is so often true, an album has a one or two great tracks and a lot of very average material. This is yet another one. I should have just bought Flagpole Sitta from iTunes. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad album, just not a great one either. Personal taste I suppose....

I have never been a huge fan of soundtracks but this one completely engrossed me, I just had to buy it and I was not disappointed!
The score is fantastic, I've never heard anything like it.
All I can say is, wow!
This is a must-have soundtrack.
Release Date June 02, 2003
I didn't know what to expect from this album at all so what a fantastic surprise it turned out to be. The first thing that struck me was how immediate the album was for me. There were very few 'growers' on the it. I loved most of them straight away. To me this is E at his best. A perfect mix of beautiful melodies, great rockers and seriously catchy tunes. The closest album in style to 'Beautiful Freak' in my opinion.

This is the first album that i got of AIC and from the opening track 'Rotten Apple' this is just a fantastic album. Some of the highlights on there are 'Rotten Apple', 'Nutshell', 'Whale & Wasp' and 'Brother'. This was probably the best start i could have had for AIC. This is so much more mellow than albums like 'Dirt' and 'Alice In Chains'. But if you are starting out with AIC then this will ease into the brooding and pure brilliance that is AIC. This album is for chilling out late at night, and just listening to Layne's fantastic vocals and Jerry's sweet guitar solos and riffs. Great Album. All the songs on here are great, but with the exception of 'Nutshell' which is probably one of their best songs they've ever written.

Out of the three albums that Matchbox Twenty have released, Mad Season is by far the most unique. If you have heard any of Matchbox Twenty's work before, then this album might get you thinking "Who is this? This isn't the band I know...." It is. The entire album has a both haunting and an upbeat feel to it, ranging from song to song. Some tracks get you singing along, (Mad Season, Angry, Black and White People) whilst others make you stop and think. (Bent, Bed of Lies).
Unlike most modern rock bands, Matchbox Twenty don't always use electric guitars and drum solos as their primary; they have made every song on this record special - wether it be style of guitar, vocals, different kinds instruments, or even an entire orchestra. All of the tracks are ... Read More:

I bought this box set because I didn't already own the albums, if you do own the Albums don't get this buy the Music Bank instead, but if you're new to Alice then this is the set for you. It contains their best three albums; Facelift, Dirt and Jar of Flies. Their Self titled CD didn't really reach the heights achieved with these three but is worth buying as there are a couple of gems in there. This Box Set contains arguably their greatest work but misses out on a 5 star rating by the lack of extras, the music, however, is excellent.

It truly is. While the first album 'I should coco' is effervescent adolescent mayhem, and the third album 'Supergrass' is much darker and gloomy, this one is the masterpiece album. With a good balance of vibrant fun (Sun hits the sky), soulful ballads (Late in the day), fast paced dark rock anthems (Richard III), silliness (Sometimes you make me sad), laziness (Hollow little reign), magic (It's not me), this CD has it all. The building up of energy in the opening track, 'In it for the money' is just infectious, as is the whole album.
This album is the best album I've listened to. Not only does it cover a wide variety of moods and styles, it's musical creativity and ingenuity is scarcely matched by any artist or album. These guys laugh in the face of user-friendly ... Read More:

with their 3rd album i do believe that 12 stones have matured for the better. Thier 1st couple albums where (all be it very good) thrash, but with the new guitarist it does seem to be that they have decided to use their ability as musicians and produce and truely fantastic album.
Broken road is an absolute belter and probably the best track that they have released in current times.
