After what seemed to be an eternity of waiting, Alice was back!! and this time gone was the chorus ridden cheese of the last two albums. He was Alice again! the villain we all loved. Side show starts this nightmare carnival running, nothings free a true epic and bad place alone is fiendish fun! it sounds as if he's ressurected the original magic of the Alice cooper band!! this album is a testament of true legend!

Its that long ago! 75, little did we know that this was David Byrons second to last Heep album.. I have the vinyl and it wasnt played much in the last decade ( if at all ) . so after getting this remastered CD it really has come to life. I all ways enjoy outakes and unreleased vault specials, and this amongst other Heep remasters has plenty. reading the sleeve notes it is amazing to think this group ever got it together to write or record but, Gerry Bron (manager producer and company excec) held the strings of these boys. a classic heep rock album similar in parts to Sweet Freedom and Wonderworld. The one track Im not to taken with is the title track R.T.Fantasy, may be it should of been on last!

The first album was great. Lots of great riffs in a Janes Addition/AC/DC mode making it a must have. A shame that 'time bomb' is such a pale comparison being a virtual rerun without the songs. It's not bad by any means its just too, well samey. It opens well enough with 'frontside' and the best track 'place in the sun' but by the half way mark it just gets well, tedious and the dull acoustic closer 'fall' just doesn't work. Maybe if i'd heard this first i would think differently but it seems Buck Cherry are like a lot of heavy rock bands and capable of only one top notch album.

If you are new to the world of Guns N' Roses I urge you to go and pick up Appetite for Destruction and play the hell out of it. This is a good CD if perhaps you just want a mix CD for the car or whatever, but there is less of their groundbreaking debut album on here then I would have liked. Songs like Rocket Queen especially deserves a spot on this CD.

Let's be honest...this is never a "great" album. It's ok, and there is no shortage of hooks, but the lyrics are so bad they really put you off. Come on - "She's personal property", "make love like a man, i'm a man" - for christ's sake. At least AC/DC can do misogny/lewdness with humour or tongue in cheek as well as better tunes. That said there are a couple of good tracks on here - White Lighting, Tonight, Tear it Down. Worth a listen but please, it's not a great album.

After a veritable age away, The Cult return with a remarkable record. Again, not a true hard rock record in the stadium sense, the band have built on the previous American-style alternative rock album 'The Cult' and upped the ante a bit with even heavier guitars. The songs are strong and the band are kicking butt once more, at no time do they give the impression that they're just going through the motions. Brilliant stuff.

Van Halen 2 is definitely the best Roth era album by far. Eddie utilizes his "Brown" sound to full extent with great songs like Somebody Get Me A Doctor which really makes you want to sing along. Spanish Fly shows Eddie's usual talent on the acoustic guitar and party songs like Beautiful Girls and DOA really makes this album worth getting.

I spent a great deal of time with this band on the road and at shows taking photographs almost from their beginnings touring in Europe and the UK so I think I am in a reasonable position to say a few things and correct a few of other people's comments. Firstly they had a PLATINUM hit with Once Bitten Twice Shy it was a huge success for them and not a "claim" its a fact!. Secondly they are an EXCELLENT band whether live or on record and Mark Kendall is a superb guitarist well up with the Eddie Van Halens and Richie Sambouras. The rest of the band members consisted of Michael Lardie, Audie Desbrow, Jack Russell and for a long time Tony Montana though he has been left now for a number of yeaers. Wasted Rock Ranger was only ever on a limited edition double CD of Twice Shy and is a song played ... Read More:

It may be hard today, given their footnote status in the history of rock, to realize how huge Foreigner once was. They were, however, one of very few groups having three albums among the top 50 best selling ones during the 70s. The records are:
22. Foreigner - Double Vision (7 Million Sales)
38. Foreigner - Head Games (5 Million Sales)
42. Foreigner - Foreigner (5 Million Sales)
Their forth album, 4, also sold as many records and actually elevated them to international super stardom. After that their album sales began dwindling but they still managed churning out a few hit singles.
Since their break up, a number of compilations by Foreigner have been released. The main ones are The Very Best...and Beyond and Complete Greatest Hits. The former ... Read More:

I'd listened to this LP as a teenager, and liked it a lot. But you can hear the difference between "Burn" in the studio and this Live recorded version. Not just because it's live, but the blurry performances. Paice is a powerhouse as always, but the fire of The Moody in black is missing. Say what you like about Blackmore, he gave the band the edge, and everything really good that they did usually came from him co-opting with his arch enemy Gillan. I like Mistreated and Burn, but the rest has "funky Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale" stamped all over it. Hughes' high vocal is an irritation, and he has become far more professional and a more rounded vocalist over the years. As has David Coverdale. RB would go on to fly Rainbow soon after, and DP would (in Jon Lord's own words) "Go ... Read More:
