I bought this album off amazon thanks to the 5 star rating it had. the song "every rose has its thorn" has been one of my all time favourite songs for many years. i hadnt herd much else from poison other than unskinny bop which i also thought was very good.
Needless to say, i was not disappointed- the album is very good. its not, however, very experimental, and most tracks are very similar- still though it deserves no less than 4 stars and a pat on the back for bret and CC, who is a pretty good little guitar player. he doesnt quite have the passion or glory that players like brian may or tony iommi or even richie sambora have wen they solo, but he can certainly hit you with a world class riff or too.

This album thunders out of your player like a train at full steam rolling. From the hard rocking Big Guns and the hard rolling Sweet Little Sister to the anthemic Youth Gone Wild this record is more Motley Crue than Bon Jovi.
Doc MacGhee managed the Crue, Bon Jovi and Skid Row, so you can see the pattern emerging here. The guitar sound is quite raw and the album does not drop the pace a notch throughout the whole record. And even when it does with 18 and Live, it does so with a classic that is still played across all classic rock stations to this day.
This is simple and dirty rock and roll as you would expect to come out of LA in the 80s and this record will sit comfortably next to Guns 'n' Roses' Appetite for Destruction, ... Read More:

Great Whitesnake album, stand out tracks for me are, Slide It In, Slow An' Easy, Guilty Of Love, this is the original U.K. mix that features Mell Galley and Micky Moody on guitar, it sounds like the classic Whitesnake rather that the Americanized Whitesnake of today

The remastered CDs have a red ring around the outside of the front of the disc so if you're buying this one make sure you're not being ripped off.
I've been a Bon Jovi fan for a long time now and this is my all time favorite album. It's their best of the early period, without doubt. Got some romancing songs, the good ol' power ballads, and some fun stuff. Top album.

I took a chance on this album in the first week of it's release and I still think it's the best pyschedelic rock album of the 90's. The singles such as "Lost Art of Keeping a Secret" and "Monsters in the Parasol" are absolutely timeless, "Monsters.." being hilarious as well as genius! The album tracks are just...well mindblowing! "Auto Pilot" and "Better Living Through Chemistry" compliment each other superbly, listening to both those tracks while under the influence is a treat (get some good headphones to hear the voices!). A shame Nick has now left, will they top it with their newie, "Lullabies to Paralyse"? Doubt it, but with the Queens, anything is possible.

'Rocks' brings to fruition the style that Aerosmith developed on their first three albums. Its predecessor, 'Toys In The Attic,' is a masterpiece, despite a rather soapy closing track, but 'Rocks' is more consistent in style. It doesn't necessarily contain better songs, but it possesses a dirty, funky undercurrent. The titles do more than hint at the subject matter: 'Back In The Saddle' and 'Get The Lead Out' aren't about horses and dogs.
Unusually, for a great hard rock album, Joe Perry doesn't load the airtime with extravagant riffs. The trick is in the band being what is essentialy one big, sexual rhythm section. Steve Tyler rasps his way into the opening track as if to signify this. There is no 'Walk This Way' on 'Rocks,' but Aerosmith seem to have developed its ... Read More:

I picked this CD up a few weeks ago but only today have i got round to playing it.
I love Bon Jovi and i do own a lot of their albums, one word for me describe's this 2002 release --- Tremedious!.
Rarely would i rate all of the songs on a disc 5/5 but they are so good, beautiful, catchy, awesome and only Bon Jovi could produce such an album. It's a winner and no wonder it did as good as it did on the charts.
If i had to pick my personal favorite songs it would be a difficult task but i do love "Joey", "Undivided", "The Distance", "Everyday" but in fact i'm fond of all the songs and i know that this is an album that i will be playing over and over again for a long time to come.
It's such a strong album and one that i think everybody should own --- simply amazing!
