This has to be the greatest Led Zeppelin album EVER!
From start to finish the whole album is filled with the greatest classic hard rock you will ever know.
If you are a very big music fan and don't have this in your collection then you are not as big music fan than you thought! This album is as pure and raw sounds.
Don't miss out. If you are new to Led Zeppelin this is the album to go for!
Whole lotta love - A classic riff which most people know from the Top Of the Pops old music theme, still a fantastic track with a killer of a guitar solo near the end.
I have left a few review on my favourite tracks. I must say all tracks are fantastic these are just ones that can'tbe missed!

The reason why a compilation like this is useful is that not everyone's a music nut. Not everyone absolutely loves Neil Young. I have the 2CD Decade compilation and I find it be no fun trying to get through it. This is ideal as it's very much to the point without too many boring songs. It also has a fair chunck of his most popular album Harvest. Decade can now be put in a drawer and forgotten.

This album is a classic and and includes the famous and overplayed song Stairway To Heaven which is an epic song. Everyone is saying Stairway To heaven is the best but i think it's The Battle Of Evermore inspired by the lord of the rings books (or something like that). Every song is a classic from the rocker Rock N' Roll to the slow acoustic Going To California this is a rock masterpiece by Led Zeppelin. A must have in any music fans collection you cant be without it. Long live led zeppelin.

This was the work of a band trying to find itself. Robert Plant was still finding himself as a vocalist but put in a good performance, one he would build on for future records. There aren't too many full-band compositions to speak of as the album was put together in something of a rush by Page, so apart from the covers most of the writing was his. Not that this was a bad thing, perhaps the only genuine criticism of this record is that it lacks a clear direction. Page clearly was leaning toward the Blues and yet, having only just emerged from the yardbirds, he placed a little moment of throwaway pop on here too, along with a version of a Yardbirds instrumental. Alongside the occasional pop moment and the deep blues there are, of course, two songs which some say ... Read More:

I liked the vast majority of this albums songs. All Pearl Jams hits are featured. A few reason why I have not given a 5/5 star review are: The remastered songs (2 on each album). Theyre just not as good as the originals. Also the album structure I feel is not right. Instead of charting PJ's career chronologically (Grunge-Post Grunge etc), songs are placed in what appears to be random order, although the first disk is a lot heavier. Personally I would have done it chronologically, but you cant please everyone! The album cover is a little naff, the sleeves make it difficult to get CD's out of and often the CD's will fall out if your carrying the album about, what was wrong with a hard case?!
Still a great album, although if you have the songs on their original albums ... Read More:

I was still listening to this album yesterday, I have the original vinyl edition and I have decided to buy the cd. This album is raw power, not a single moment of respite, your feet will be tapping, you will sing along, whatever, this is a great album for a bad mood: 100% guarantee to make you smile and enjoy. Must have.
Release Date January 19, 1998
The fact that this album is 5 star rated by everyone says it all really. The musicianship is simply astounding and Blackmore's playing is truly inspired. I bought the vinyl lp when it was first released in 1972 and wore it out! The remastered cd with the encores is superb - I've got two copies because one lives in the car!
The only track I usually skip is The Mule. It's not bad but it just doesn't quite come up the standard of the other tracks. If dp had played either Fireball or Pictures of Home it would have been the icing on the cake.
If you don't own this album you owe it to yourself to get it- now!

This album is probably one of the best places to start in your love affair with Tom Petty. Once you hear his music there's no going back. He has a wonderfully distinctive voice and can play both rocking upbeat songs, as well as laid back chilled out ones. There are so many brilliant songs on this compilation, it would be hard to pick out any one for special mention. Needless to say I highly recommend it!
